FirFurd M218 Kitchen Island with Folding Worktop, Wheels, 2 Drawers and 3 Doors

For preparing coffee and chopping fruit in a busy kitchen, the FirFurd M218 adds a folding worktop and organised storage in one mobile unit. Its black finish and wood-effect worktop bring a classic look to the room.

Open the folding section when you need extra surface space, then use the drawers, cupboards and side shelves to keep everyday kitchen items close by. Five wheels make it easy to move the island between rooms.

Could one piece of furniture serve as both a prep station and a handy serving trolley? This design combines those uses with a cabinet layout suited to the kitchen or living room.

The folding surface gives you the option of extending the available work area for food preparation or gatherings. Underneath, the drawers keep smaller items accessible, while the three-door cabinet provides room for kitchen utensils and appliances. The four tiered shelves on the side are useful for keeping items such as spice bottles, coffee beans and jams within reach. Each cabinet shelf is rated for up to 20 kg, and each drawer for approximately 15 kg.

Everyday use

Use the island as an additional prep area when cooking, then wheel it into position as a serving station for coffee or a casual get-together. Its mix of enclosed storage and open shelving lets you keep some items neatly behind doors while leaving frequently used essentials easy to reach. It can also serve as a sideboard or home coffee bar, making it a practical choice where a fixed island would offer less flexibility.

The wood-effect worktop is supported by two triangular metal brackets when extended. Avoid placing excessively heavy items on the folding section, and use the lockable castors to stabilise the trolley on uneven surfaces. The handles on the doors and drawers, side handles and towel rail add useful details for day-to-day kitchen use.

Box contents

The kitchen island is supplied in two packages, with numbered parts and assembly instructions for the sideboard. Assembly is required, follow the instructions step by step and wait until both packages have arrived before starting. The listed included component is the kitchen island.

Before you decide

How much space does the island take up? Its overall dimensions are 132 x 97.5 x 60 cm. The folding worktop section measures 110 x 40 cm, giving you an extra surface to open when needed.

What storage does it provide? There are two drawers, three doors and four tiered shelves on the side. The shelves suit items such as spices and jars, while the drawers and cabinet offer enclosed storage for kitchen essentials.

Can it be moved and kept in place? The island has five castors, two of which are lockable. Move it to the area you need, then use the locks to help stabilise it, particularly on uneven surfaces.
