FEANDREA Basco Collection PPB080G01 Waterproof Reversible Dog Blanket, 203 x 152 cm

If you need a soft layer to protect furniture from pet hair and muddy paws, a washable blanket is a simpler option than a fitted cover. The FEANDREA Basco Collection PPB080G01 adds a waterproof TPU film and two different fabric surfaces, so it can also serve as a resting spot on a sofa, bed or car seat.

At 203 x 152 cm, it is made with larger dogs in mind, though actual coverage depends on the surface and how your pet settles. It is grey, reversible and machine washable, feedback on its water resistance and perceived size is mixed.

Where it shines

The blanket combines short-pile plush on one side with flannelette on the other, giving you a choice of surface without needing a separate pet bed. Both sides are described as soft and warm, while the TPU film sits between them to help stop liquids reaching the furniture underneath. The layers are attached together, which helps prevent them shifting against each other during use.

That makes it useful for a dog settling on the sofa during the day or on a bed overnight, while also offering a practical layer for a car seat. Compared with a plain fabric throw, its waterproof lining is an added feature, compared with a fitted protector, it is a loose, foldable blanket that can be moved between surfaces. Buyers often praise its softness and comfort, but comments on water resistance are divided, so it is sensible not to treat it as guaranteed protection against every spill.

Key points

The stated size is 203 x 152 cm and the listed weight is 1.5 kg. Its neutral grey tones are intended to blend into a home, and the blanket can be folded for carrying on trips or to a campsite. You’ll like it if you want one portable layer that can cover more than one resting place and be turned over for a different fabric feel.

Buyer feedback also highlights pets enjoying the soft, cosy surface. Opinions on size and thickness vary, however: some find the blanket suitable, while others feel it is smaller than expected or quite thin. Check the stated dimensions against the area you want to cover rather than relying on the “large dog” description alone. It’s not for you if you need a fitted cover or want certainty that the lining will prevent all liquid from reaching the surface below.

Everyday use

For routine cleaning, the care guidance is to machine wash in cold water and tumble dry on low, or air dry. That makes it easier to refresh after everyday pet use than a non-washable furniture covering. The blanket is supplied vacuum-packed, the product notes say to let it rest after unpacking so it can regain its fluffy shape, and that creases should disappear after washing.

A practical approach is to use it as a removable layer and wash it when needed, rather than assuming the waterproof film removes the need for cleaning. Its reversible construction gives you two usable sides, but both are part of the same blanket, not separate covers.

What to clarify

Will it fit my sofa or bed? It measures 203 x 152 cm. Measure the area you want covered, allowing for the space your dog occupies, as the blanket’s stated size does not guarantee full coverage of every piece of furniture.

What are the two sides made from? One side is short-pile plush and the other is flannelette, with a TPU film between them.

How should it be washed? The care instructions specify a cold-water machine wash, followed by tumble drying on low or air drying.

Should you buy it?

Choose this FEANDREA blanket if you want a reversible, washable layer that can move between furniture and travel use, and its dimensions suit your intended surface. The soft fabrics and attached layers give it a clear everyday comfort role, while the TPU lining provides an extra barrier compared with a simple throw. If dependable liquid protection is the deciding factor, mixed buyer feedback means this blanket is a less certain choice, consider whether a fitted, purpose-built protector better matches that need.
