Requirements

The heater is corded electric and operates on a 220–240 V supply at 50/60 Hz. Choose a suitable wall or ceiling position to direct the heat towards the seating area, and use the supplied mounting material for installation. Its design is intended for covered outdoor spaces, where the IP44 protection is suited to exposure to dust and rain. The cable is approximately 150 cm long, so allow for its reach when planning the position and access to power.

How to use it

Mount the heater above or beside the area you want to warm, aiming its infrared output at the people and objects in that space. Because the heat is directed rather than relying on warming all the surrounding air, it suits a terrace table or seating area where you want warmth focused on the occupants. The wide heating element helps cover a broader seating arrangement from one position.

Use the remote control to adjust the temperature through the integrated thermostat, or set the timer for automatic shut-off after your chosen period. That makes it straightforward to prepare a sheltered outdoor space for an evening meal or to switch the heater off without reaching the unit. Infrared operation is silent and does not stir up dust, a useful detail in quiet seating areas. Unlike a freestanding heater that occupies floor space, this model mounts to a wall or ceiling, keeping the floor area clear.

Practical questions

Does the heater produce visible light? The Cosmic Beam Plus is described as a dark radiator with no light output, so it provides warmth without adding a bright glow to the patio.

Can it be controlled remotely? Yes. The supplied remote control lets you adjust the temperature, and the thermostat helps maintain the selected setting. You can also programme the automatic shut-off timer from 1 to 9 hours.

Where can it be installed? It is suitable for wall or ceiling mounting in a covered outdoor area. Its infrared output is best directed towards the seating or table area you want to warm.

Buying verdict

For anyone arranging a sheltered patio or garden seating area, this heater combines focused infrared warmth with wall or ceiling mounting, so it can serve the space without taking up floor room. The remote, thermostat and programmable shut-off make it easy to manage during everyday outdoor use, while the dark radiator keeps the setting free from heater light.
