Sony SRS-XB100 (SRSXB100/H) Portable Bluetooth Speaker, IP67, 16-Hour Battery
Product description
At 8.7 x 11.2 x 8.7 cm and 274.99 g, the Sony SRS-XB100 is a small wireless speaker designed to travel in a bag or attach with its included strap.
Its IP67 waterproof and dustproof rating, up to 16 hours of battery life and USB-C charging suit outings where a phone speaker is not enough but carrying a larger audio setup would be inconvenient.
The speaker adds a built-in microphone for hands-free calls and can be wirelessly paired with a second speaker for stereo sound. Those extras broaden its uses beyond casual music playback.

Sony combines a full-range speaker driver with sound processing intended to spread audio more widely, while the driver design is intended to enhance lower tones. That gives the XB100 a broader sound approach than a phone’s built-in speaker, without changing its compact, single-speaker format. For stereo playback, the product information specifies connecting two speakers wirelessly, one unit alone is not described as a stereo pair.
Buyer feedback often highlights sound quality, easy Bluetooth connection, portability and battery life. Volume opinions are mixed, though, so the claimed sound performance should not be taken as a promise of room-filling output. This is a useful distinction if you are choosing between a compact travel speaker and a larger speaker for a group or a noisy setting.
How to use it
Pair the speaker wirelessly with a Bluetooth device to play music, then use the strap to carry it or attach it during a day out. The IP67 rating is relevant for settings such as the pool, beach or a camping trip, where water and dust exposure may be a consideration. It does not remove the need to follow the product’s care instructions.
For calls, the built-in microphone supports hands-free use, and the listed Echo Cancelling technology is intended to help two people speak at the same time without clipping or cut-outs. USB Type-C is used for charging, while the battery indicator gives a way to check charge status. In a shared listening setup, a second XB100 can be connected for stereo sound.
In the box
The product details identify a versatile strap as included. USB Type-C charging is supported, but the supplied-items information does not confirm whether a charging cable is included, so check the package contents before relying on one being provided.
Final verdict
A solid pick if you want a compact Bluetooth speaker for travel, outdoor days or hands-free calls, and value the IP67 rating and stated battery life. Its strap and low carrying weight make it more convenient to take along than a larger speaker system. Better avoided if your main priority is dependable high volume for a large or noisy space: buyer impressions of volume are divided, and the listed maximum output is 5 watts. For that kind of listening, a larger speaker is the more suitable approach.
