OMCCHK White Remote Motor Disco Ball Motor, 1–30 RPM, 3 Speeds
Product description
Where it shines
Three speed settings and two rotation directions let you tailor the movement to the hanging décor. The remote makes it easy to adjust the motor without reaching up, whether it’s turning a mirror ball for a gathering or keeping a mobile moving in a nursery. A timer adds a simple way to set a 0.5, 1 or 2-hour session. The white cylindrical design also keeps the motor visually understated alongside your décor.
Use it with standard 6–20-inch mirror balls, or for other hanging pieces such as wind spinners, sun catchers and wind art. Its capacity is up to 12 lbs, for hanging items weighing 5 lbs or more, low-speed mode is recommended to help extend motor life and runtime. For a typical setup, choose a compatible hanging piece, select a direction and speed, then use the timer and remote to control the spin from up to 6 metres away. Compared with a motor that requires adjustments at the fixture, remote operation is a practical advantage when the decoration is positioned overhead.
Quick overview
The OMCCHK White Remote Motor is a battery-operated spinner made for hanging décor. It offers 1–30 RPM, three speeds, two-way rotation and three timer settings: 0.5, 1 and 2 hours. Its stated capacity is 12 lbs, and it fits 6–20-inch mirror balls. The motor is made from ABS plastic and has a white cylindrical form. The package includes one motor and one remote control.
The remote supports starting and stopping the motor as well as changing its rotation and speed, so adjustments can be made from your seat rather than by handling the hanging decoration. That’s useful when a mobile or spinner is already in place and you want to change how it moves, or set a timed spin for a particular part of the day. The range of speeds also gives you a choice between a slower turn and a more noticeable rotation, while the two directions provide another way to vary the movement.
Who it’s for
This motor suits anyone setting up a rotating mirror ball or adding movement to a hanging decoration. It can be used indoors with a baby crib mobile and outdoors with wind spinners, sun catchers or wind art. Its 12 lb capacity and fit for 6–20-inch mirror balls make it useful for a range of standard décor sizes, the most commonly used 6–8-inch balls are also within its stated fit. For heavier hanging pieces from 5 lbs upward, select low speed as recommended. A solid pick if you want adjustable rotation and timer control from a remote rather than relying on direct access to the motor.
What to clarify
What size mirror ball does it fit? It is designed for 6–20-inch mirror balls. Check that the hanging piece’s weight is within the 12 lb capacity as well as the size range.
Can the rotation be adjusted? Yes. The remote offers three speed settings and lets you choose between two rotation directions, with speeds listed from 1–30 RPM.
How long can it run on a timer, and how far away can it be controlled? Choose a 0.5, 1 or 2-hour timer setting. The remote’s stated control range is up to 6 metres.
Should you buy it?
Choose the OMCCHK White Remote Motor when you want hanging décor to rotate with more control than a fixed-speed, directly operated setup provides. Its combination of three speeds, two directions and timed operation is especially useful for adjusting a mirror ball, mobile or wind spinner to suit the setting. Match the hanging piece to the stated size and weight capacity, then use the remote to set the movement without reaching the motor.
