Char-Griller Kamado Grill Cover Polyester
Product description
Best use cases
When an AKORN grill sits outdoors between weekend cooks, a cover can help keep rain, wind, snow and sun off its exterior. The Char-Griller Premium Kamado Grill Cover is made for that job, with solution-dyed polyester described as tear-resistant and fade-resistant. It is intended for outdoor, year-round use rather than occasional storage indoors.
Picture covering the grill after an afternoon barbecue so it is shielded while it waits for the next meal. That simple routine is the main reason to consider this cover.
It suits you if you want a dedicated cover for an AKORN model listed as compatible and expect the grill to stay outside. If you are choosing a universal cover, this model-specific approach may be preferable, but the fit depends on matching your grill to the stated model list.
Product specs
The product is a heavy-duty grill cover made from solution-dyed polyester. The listing highlights resistance to tearing compared with traditional vinyl covers, plus fade resistance during prolonged sun exposure. It is designed to help protect against rain, sleet, wind, snow and changing outdoor conditions. These are intended benefits, not a guarantee that the grill will remain completely dry in every situation.
Listed compatible models are 06620, 6719, 16620, 16820, 26720, 56720, E56720, 14822 and 4822. The product name also calls out models 16620 and 6719. Since no cover dimensions are provided, match your grill’s model number against the list before choosing, the similar-looking numbers are easy to mix up. Based on the product details, there is also no stated fastening method or specific care guidance to factor into your decision.
Where it shines
The useful distinction here is the material and intended placement. A basic vinyl cover may suit someone mainly looking for a simple barrier, while this polyester version is presented as more resistant to tearing and fading. That could matter if the grill stays in an exposed spot and the cover gets regular use. The stated all-weather purpose also makes it relevant for keeping the grill covered across changing seasons, rather than taking it out only when rain is forecast.
What good is a fade-resistant cover if it does not fit the grill you own? The compatibility list is therefore more useful than the broad AKORN label alone. Check the model number on your grill, especially if it is not one of the two models featured in the product name.
A practical limitation: the listing does not give measurements, so there is no independent way here to judge how much coverage it provides around a particular setup or whether it suits accessories attached to the grill. It is a focused choice for the specified AKORN models, not a clearly sized universal cover.
Final decision
Choose this Char-Griller cover if your AKORN model appears in the compatibility list and you want a polyester cover intended to resist tearing, fading and outdoor weather between cooks. It is less suitable if you need confirmed dimensions, want a universal fit, or your grill model is not listed. In that case, a cover with published measurements or explicit compatibility for your exact grill would be a safer buying approach.
