Mooyran TYD-YHY-001 Astronaut Galaxy Projector with Remote and 9 Nebula Effects

Turn a bedroom ceiling or gaming-room wall into a starry backdrop for movie nights, gaming sessions or a calmer bedtime routine. The Mooyran astronaut projector combines nebula effects with twinkling green stars, while its adjustable head helps direct the projection where it will be most visible.

Getting the most from it

The projector is designed to cast its effects onto a wall or ceiling, making it useful for adding ambient light without changing the room’s main lighting. The astronaut’s head connects magnetically to the body, so you can adjust the projection angle, the moon base is removable, and the arm can be posed to suit the display. Place it on a table or desk, then aim it towards the surface you want to illuminate.

The remote lets you change the pattern, brightness and rotation speed from across the room. Nebula and star patterns can run together or separately, so the look can shift from a layered galaxy effect to a simpler starry projection. Set the timer to 45 or 90 minutes when using it as part of a bedtime routine, it automatically switches off at the selected time. For game setups, home theatres or parties, the moving light effects add atmosphere, while the astronaut design keeps the projector visually at home among bedroom décor.

Buyer feedback often describes the light as entertaining for children and families. Experiences with functionality are mixed, and some buyers report that the nebula rotation stops working after a few weeks. Feedback on value is also divided, so the most distinctive appeal here is the combination of adjustable projection effects and an astronaut-shaped design.

How to use it

Connect the projector using the supplied USB cable and position it on a stable table or desk. Aim the adjustable head at a nearby wall or ceiling, then use the remote to choose nebula effects, stars or both together. Adjust the brightness and rotation speed to suit the room’s ambience, and select the 45- or 90-minute timer if you want the light to turn off automatically. The included base support provides a display option, while the poseable arm lets you arrange the astronaut as part of the room’s décor.

Final verdict

It’s a good fit if you want a table-mounted galaxy light that doubles as a playful room accessory. The remote-controlled patterns, adjustable projection angle and timed shut-off make it easy to tailor for a gaming corner, movie night or bedtime setting, with the black astronaut design adding a clear decorative theme.
