Glocusent A106 12-LED Book Light, USB-C Rechargeable with 5 Colours

Some readers want a soft glow for a few pages before bed, others need focused light that follows them from one reading spot to another. The Glocusent A106 is designed to suit both routines.

Its clip-on design attaches to a book or Kindle, while the adjustable head helps direct light onto the page. Five colour temperatures and adjustable brightness let you tailor the illumination to the moment.

USB-C recharging and a travel lock add practical touches for keeping this compact reading light ready at home or on the go.

Who it’s for

This book light is suited to readers who want their own directed light for bedtime reading, study, or a book in a tent. Clip it to a paperback, a thicker book, or a Kindle, then position the lamp head over the reading area. That focused setup is useful when you want to read without lighting the whole room, whether you’re settling in at home or packing a light for travel.

If your priority is a fixed light for a room, a different style of lamp may suit that need better. The A106 is built around portable, page-level lighting: its clamp keeps the light attached to your reading material, and its cordless design makes it easy to move between reading spots.

What stands out

Twelve LEDs provide five brightness levels, with stepless dimming also described for finer adjustment. Five colour temperatures range from 1800K warm amber to 6000K daylight, so you can choose a softer tone for evening reading or a cooler one when you prefer a crisper-looking page. The one-touch colour selection and separate raised buttons are designed to make adjustments straightforward, including in low light. A memory function recalls your last settings.

The lamp head rotates 90° and tilts down 45°, helping you aim the beam where it’s useful as you turn pages or change your reading position. A padded, wide-opening clamp grips different book thicknesses and can also attach to a Kindle. For evenings when you’d rather not disturb someone nearby, the adjustable, directed light offers a practical alternative to bright room lighting.

What to know

The built-in 800mAh battery provides up to 200 hours of runtime on the lowest brightness setting. Recharge it through the USB-C port, a Type-C charging cable is included, while the charging adapter is not. The travel lock helps prevent accidental activation in a bag, making the light convenient to carry between home and other reading locations.

The light measures 117 × 15 × 36 mm and weighs 53 g. Its white ABS shade and compact clip-on format keep the focus on illuminating a page rather than taking up space on a bedside table. A bookmark and user manual are also included. Customers commonly appreciate the choice of light tones and brightness settings, and describe the charge as lasting well for their reading routines.

When it makes sense

Choose the Glocusent A106 if you want a rechargeable light that clips directly to your book and gives you control over both brightness and colour tone. It brings together portable use, an adjustable head, and a travel lock in a compact format—useful for reading in bed, studying, or taking a book along when you need light focused on the page.
