GOODEA GDNL004 Rechargeable Motion Sensor Night Lights, Dimmable, 4-Pack

The four-light pack gives you a cordless way to add warm lighting around the home. Each compact light measures 40D x 30W x 58H millimetres and has a white plastic finish. Motion sensing activates the light in low-light conditions, while three brightness levels let you set the light level for your space.

Key takeaways

The GOODEA GDNL004 lights are designed for indoor wall mounting, with magnetic stickers for tool-free placement. Their rechargeable batteries mean you can position them where you need light without relying on a nearby outlet. The motion sensor responds to movement in low light and keeps the lights off in bright conditions, making them useful for nighttime routes through a hallway or up a staircase.

Choose from three brightness levels to suit the area and the amount of light you want at night. A layered anti-glare design helps make the lights comfortable to look towards while moving around. The four-light format also makes it practical to place lights at several points, such as along stairs and near a bedroom or bathroom door.

Usage tips

Use the magnetic stickers to mount each light indoors in a convenient position, such as beside a stairway, in a closet or along a hallway. Set the brightness level to suit the space, then let the motion sensor handle lighting when movement is detected in low-light conditions. For charging, the included 2-in-1 cable can power two lights at once. The charging indicator is red while charging and green when ready, a full charge takes about two hours.

The rechargeable battery is specified to provide 35–70 days of use per charge at 10–15 activations daily. Actual use depends on how often the lights activate, so the indicator can help you see when charging is complete and the lights are ready to go back in place.

Everyday use

These lights are suited to short trips around the home when you want a clear path without turning on the main room lighting. Place one near the stairs and another in the hallway to help illuminate a route at night, the remaining lights can go in a bedroom, bathroom or closet. The warm, dimmable light and motion activation make them useful in spaces where a wall switch is not right beside the route you need to navigate.

Compared with a plug-in night light, the magnetic, rechargeable setup gives you more flexibility in where you mount the light and makes it easier to reposition as your needs change. The cordless format also avoids having to place each light directly beside an outlet. The lights are intended for indoor use, so choose an indoor location for mounting.

Is it worth it?

The GOODEA GDNL004 is a practical fit for anyone looking to add motion-activated lighting at several indoor spots without arranging placement around outlets. Four lights, three brightness settings and magnetic mounting help tailor the setup to stairs, hallways, bathrooms, bedrooms and closets. For nighttime navigation, the combination of low-light motion sensing and rechargeable, cordless placement keeps useful light close to the paths you use most.
