Koackl 2PCS PV888CGA Propane Torch Heads, 2-Pack with Adjustable Flame

An adjustable flame lets you match the heat to the job, from lighting charcoal to searing food. The Koackl 2-pack gives you two propane torch heads for cooking and outdoor fire-starting tasks.

Use the torch for crème brûlée, roasted vegetables, melted cheese or a quick sear, then bring it to the grill or fire pit to help get a fire going. Its built-in igniter and flame adjustment make it a versatile alternative to a single-purpose fire lighter.

The torch reaches a stated maximum temperature of 3272°F. Propane canisters are not included, so have a compatible canister ready before use.

Tips for day-to-day use

For a backyard barbecue, use the adjustable flame to light charcoal, then turn to food prep when it is time to finish a steak or caramelize a dessert. The same range of uses also suits campfires, fireplaces and selected DIY tasks such as soldering, brazing or stripping paint. For cooking, keep the flame directed at the food and adjust it to suit the task.

Before lighting, make sure the torch is tightly connected to its propane canister. After connecting, wait one minute to clear the air, then turn the knob to the stated ignition position and use the igniter. The supplied guidelines advise avoiding a 90-degree angle and limiting continuous use to one to two minutes. Detach the canister after use and store it separately.

Strengths

The main advantage is flexibility: one torch design covers both food finishing and fire-starting, while the adjustable flame helps tailor the output for different jobs. That makes it useful when a basic grill lighter would handle only lighting, but a separate cooking torch and fire starter would take up more space in your kit. The two-pack format also provides two torch heads for household, barbecue or camping use.

Buyers often highlight its usefulness for campfires, charcoal grills and varied tasks, along with its power. Feedback is mixed on ease of use, flame strength and fuel consumption, and some buyers report durability concerns. These are individual experiences rather than a guarantee of how a particular torch will perform.
