HP-compatible toner cartridge 201A
Product description
When a home office or small workplace needs to keep colour documents moving, matching the cartridge to the printer matters as much as the advertised yield. This four-pack is listed as a compatible replacement for selected HP colour LaserJet Pro models, including the MFP M277dw and M277c6, plus the M252dw and M252n. The cartridges come with chips already installed, so the listing says there is no original chip to transfer. Before choosing it, match your printer’s exact model and the cartridge number it requires, compatibility is not universal across HP printers.
What to know
The listing identifies the product as a 201A replacement and also mentions 201X and CF400A/CF400X in its compatibility wording. It names the HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M277dw, M277c6 and M277n, along with the M252dw, M252n and M252 series. Since several cartridge references appear in the product details, use your printer’s model and existing cartridge number as the deciding check rather than relying on the broad title alone.
The stated yields are 2,800 pages for the black cartridge and 2,300 pages per colour cartridge, based on 5% coverage on Letter/A4. Those figures offer a comparison point, not a promise for every job: pages with dense graphics or large areas of colour may use toner differently. Keep in mind that the listing does not specify the exact contents of the four-pack by colour, so confirm the pack configuration before ordering if you need a particular replacement.
How to use it
The chips are pre-installed, and the seller says no transfer or additional adjustment is needed during installation. In practical terms, that means you can follow the printer’s usual cartridge replacement process rather than preparing the old cartridge’s chip for reuse. For example, if the printer reports that a cartridge needs replacing during a run of work documents, you can check the model and cartridge reference first, then install the matching replacement according to the printer’s instructions.
Practical tips
Check the full model number on the printer itself, especially if it belongs to the M252 or M277 family. A similar-looking model name is not enough to establish compatibility. It’s also useful to keep the stated coverage assumption in mind when estimating how long the pack may last, everyday text pages and colour-heavy reports can put very different demands on toner.
Compared with buying cartridges one at a time, a four-pack may suit someone planning several replacements, provided its contents match what the printer needs. If you prefer a manufacturer-branded cartridge or need a stated guarantee beyond the compatibility and yield details given here, this listing does not provide enough information to assess that preference.
For your situation
It’s a good option if your printer is one of the listed models and you want replacement toner with chips already fitted. It may not be the best option if your model is not named, you need confirmation of the exact colour mix, or you want more detail about warranty terms. The information provided supports checking model fit and advertised yield, but not making broader claims about print quality or long-term reliability.
