iNKPAD ink cartridges 5-pack

For Canon printer owners who need to replace a full set of cartridges, this iNKPAD combo includes pigment black, black, cyan, magenta and yellow. It’s a practical format if several colours are running low, or if you’d rather keep replacements on hand than buy cartridges one at a time.

The pack is listed for selected Canon TR and TS printers, so matching the exact printer model matters before you order.

Getting the most from it

The pigment black cartridge is intended for text and documents on plain paper, where sharp, readable lettering matters. The separate black and colour cartridges give you a set for everyday printing as well as colour pages and photos. For a household that switches between forms, schoolwork and occasional photo prints, having all five cartridges together can simplify restocking.

If you prioritise having a complete replacement set ready, this combo is more convenient than sourcing each cartridge separately. If you prefer to replace only the colour that has run out, a five-cartridge pack may leave you storing spares. Keep the package contents in mind, too: it contains one of each listed cartridge, not multiple copies of a particular colour.

Why it’s worth it

The main appeal is the combination of cartridge types and the built-in tracking chip. The listing says the chip helps the printer identify the cartridges and monitor remaining ink. That can make it easier to see when a replacement is needed, although the listing does not provide details about setup or troubleshooting if recognition issues occur.

The stated page yields are up to 600 pages for the 280XXL pigment black, 6360 pages for the 281XXL black and 830 pages for each 281XXL colour cartridge. These figures are according to the manufacturer, not a guarantee of what you’ll get: actual use can vary with the content being printed. It’s worth weighing those claims against how often you print and whether you mainly produce text, colour pages or photos.

It makes sense if your printer appears on the compatibility list and you want a multi-cartridge replacement set. It isn’t for you if your model is not listed, or if you only need a single colour and would rather avoid keeping unused cartridges. The listing also doesn’t give details such as ink volume, so page-yield figures are the main supplied guide to expected use.

At a glance

• Type: Replacement ink cartridges
• Format: Five-cartridge combo
• Contents: One 280XXL pigment black, one 281XXL black, and one each of cyan, magenta and yellow
• Listed compatible models: Canon TR7520, TR8520, TR8620, TR8622, TS702, TS6120, TS6220, TS6320, TS9520 and TS9521C

Before buying, match the full model number on your printer with this list, the cartridge family name alone isn’t enough to confirm fit. The pack is aimed at the listed models, not Canon printers generally.

When to choose it

Choose this combo if you have a listed printer and want replacements for both black printing and all three colour channels in one purchase. Picture a week of printing a few black-and-white forms, then a colour handout: the separate pigment black and colour cartridges suit that mix better than a set containing only one ink type.

The trade-off is the fixed five-cartridge selection. If you’re replacing one nearly empty cartridge, buying a full combo may be less useful than choosing a single replacement. For a printer on the compatibility list and a need to replenish the whole set, though, the contents and stated yields give you concrete points to compare with a more basic, single-cartridge purchase.
