YUNZII C98 Cute Cake Wireless Mechanical Keyboard, 99-Key Pink, Milk Switch

If you need a dedicated number pad for work, a compact desk layout may not cover your routine. If you also want a keyboard that can move between devices and connection modes, the YUNZII C98 brings those needs together in a 96% layout. Its pink, cake-themed design adds a distinctive look to a home office, gaming setup, or shared workspace.

Key takeaways

The C98 has 99 keys, including a number pad, so entering figures and using familiar keyboard shortcuts can feel more natural than relying on a separate number-entry setup. Its linear Milk V2 switches provide the keystroke feel, while the gasket-mounted construction and sound-absorbing layers shape the keyboard’s typing sound and feedback. Colorful dye-sublimated PBT MOA keycaps carry the cake theme across the layout.

Connect over Bluetooth 5.0, 2.4GHz wireless, or USB-C wired, and switch between modes to suit a desk setup or a change of device. The keyboard supports Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS, and can connect with up to five devices. Customizable RGB backlighting, programmable keys, and web-based software for remapping keys, creating macros, and adjusting lighting add practical ways to tailor the setup on Windows or Mac.

Buyers often praise the distinctive keycap design, colors, smooth typing feel, and sound. These impressions give a useful sense of the keyboard’s appeal, alongside the documented linear switches and customizable lighting.

Size & fit

The 96% layout combines a number pad with a 99-key arrangement, making it a useful middle ground for someone who wants number-entry keys without choosing a conventional full-size layout. The keyboard measures 15.98 inches long, 6.6 inches wide, and 1.73 inches high. At 1.1 kg, it is suited to a set desk or workstation where its full key layout and themed design can stay in place.

For example, use the number pad for entering figures during the workday, then switch to a wireless connection for a compatible device elsewhere in your setup. Bluetooth, 2.4GHz, and USB-C give you distinct connection choices, while the 10,000mAh rechargeable battery supports wireless use. The included USB cable and 2.4G dongle serve the corresponding connection options.

Getting the most from it

Choose Bluetooth for compatible devices, 2.4GHz wireless when using the included dongle, or USB-C wired mode at a desk. Use the web-based customization software on Windows or Mac to remap keys, create macros, and adjust RGB effects. That flexibility can help adapt the layout to everyday typing, gaming, or a workflow that relies on frequently used commands.

The hot-swappable PCB supports three-pin and five-pin mechanical switches, so switches can be changed without soldering when you want to explore a different typing feel. The package also includes extra keycaps and switches, a keycap and switch puller, a dust cover, and a function card and manual. It makes sense if you want a number pad, several connection choices, and room to personalize both lighting and switches in one themed keyboard.

Should you buy it?

Choose the YUNZII C98 if your priority is a distinctive pink keyboard that still brings a number pad and practical customization to your setup. Its tri-mode connections suit switching between compatible devices, while the hot-swap design and configurable RGB offer useful ways to make the keyboard your own. It’s a fitting choice for everyday typing, gaming, and desk setups where both function and a cake-inspired look matter.
