YIKTI Rustic Fruits Stove Top Cover, 28 x 20-Inch Washable Rubber Mat

For a kitchen where a glass or ceramic electric cooktop needs protection while it is not in use, the YIKTI Rustic Fruits cover adds a soft surface over the stove. Its fruit print brings a farmhouse look, and the flexible mat can also be used on a counter or table. The 28 x 20-inch size offers coverage beyond the cooktop. It is washable and folds for storage.

Tips for day-to-day use

Place the cover only over a cooktop that is turned off and cool. The product is not meant to sit over active cookware, and its heat-resistant rating should not be treated as permission to cover a working stove. The listing specifies resistance up to 400°F (200°C) and warns against covering induction cooktops that exceed 450°F. Keep those instructions in mind when moving the mat between stove, counter, and table.

The flexible surface can catch dust, grease, and everyday mess when the cooktop is idle. It can also serve as a drying mat for dishes, glasses, fruits, or vegetables, or as a mat for a coffee bar, pet feeding area, tools, plants, or a washer-dryer top. For example, after washing produce, the mat can sit on a counter to catch drips, once dry, it can be folded away or hung using the included hooks. Wipe spills and water droplets for routine cleanup, or rinse the mat under water for a deeper clean.

Unlike a rigid cover designed only to sit over a stove, this flexible mat can move between several household surfaces. That versatility is useful if you want one cover for cooktop protection and occasional countertop tasks, rather than a dedicated board that stays in one place.

Benefits

The main appeal is the combination of cooktop coverage and other practical uses. When laid over a cool electric stove, the cover is intended to shield glass or ceramic surfaces from dust, scratches, grease, and dirt. Its rustic fruit design also makes the cover a visible kitchen accent rather than a plain protective sheet.

The stated heat resistance adds another use: the mat can help protect countertops from hot cookware, up to the listed temperature rating. It is not a substitute for a trivet or safe handling practices beyond that stated use, and it should not be placed on active cookware. The washable material and flexible shape make cleanup and storage straightforward, while the hooks offer an alternative to rolling or folding it away.

A solid pick if you want a washable, multipurpose mat with a decorative print and enough coverage for a cooktop or other surface. Better avoided if you need a cover that can remain in place while the stove is operating, the product instructions rule out covering active cookware.

Buying verdict

This YIKTI mat makes the most sense for an electric cooktop that needs a removable cover between cooking sessions, with the added option of using it as a drying or countertop mat. Its size, washable natural-rubber construction, and foldable format suit kitchens where a single item may serve different surfaces. If you prioritize a rigid, stove-specific cover or need something to use while cooking, this flexible mat is a different approach. Follow the stated temperature guidance and remove it before turning on the cooktop.
