VISCOO VISB0CLGPX16G 12-Panel Small Animal Playpen with Waterproof Mat

The VISCOO playpen assembles to 48" x 24" x 16" and includes a waterproof floor mat. Its 12 coated metal panels can be arranged into different layouts. A built-in door panel provides an entry point for pets.

Fit and sizing

The listed assembled size is 48" x 24" x 16", while the mat is specified for a 24" x 48" enclosure and has 4.7-inch sides. That gives you a defined floor area for supervised indoor play or a small-animal enclosure, the mat’s raised edges are intended to help protect the floor. The product information says to position the mat with its 12-inch sides against the ground, rather than its 16-inch side.

The panels use approximately 0.5-inch mesh spacing, and the set includes one panel with a door. Assembly involves ABS corner connectors and nylon ties. The instructions call for fully tightening the connectors, tapping them into place with a small wooden hammer, and using the ties to reinforce the joints. How much room does your pet need to move comfortably? Compare the stated footprint with your animal’s size and the space available before choosing this layout.

Pros

The modular panel format is useful when you want a contained play area rather than a fixed cage, and the maker says the panels can be configured in different sizes. Coated iron construction and the included connectors and ties give you the pieces needed to assemble the enclosure, while the door panel makes entry and exit more manageable. The mat’s PVC-lined surface can be wiped with a damp cloth, which is a practical detail for routine cleanup, the manufacturer advises against machine washing it.

Buyer feedback is positive about using the pen for small animals and about its general functionality, including as a brooder for baby chicks. Cleaning is also often described favorably. Reports are more divided on size and sturdiness, and some buyers mention that the liner does not fit or align neatly with the panels. Others report that pets can chew through the bottom material, so the mat may need monitoring with animals that chew. A solid pick if you want a configurable, low-sided enclosure with a floor mat included. It’s not for you if your pet is a persistent chewer or needs a taller barrier to prevent jumping out.

Final verdict

This set makes sense for someone who wants a reconfigurable play area and values having a floor-covering mat in the box. Its footprint and 16-inch height are the key fit decisions, while the mixed buyer feedback on liner alignment and durability is worth weighing for pets that chew or push against their enclosure. If you need a more secure barrier or a long-term chew-resistant base, a different enclosure style may be a better match.
