XRG DOG PLAY PEN Foldable Pet Playpen, Pink, 360-Degree Mesh

Set up a defined space for a kitten, puppy, or other small pet at home, while traveling, or outdoors. The XRG DOG PLAY PEN is a foldable, soft-sided playpen with a 360-degree mesh view, two access doors, and a waterproof bottom. Its medium size measures 31.5 x 23.62 x 21.65 inches, offering room for a small pet’s everyday setup.

The lightweight design folds away when it is not in use, and a carry bag is included for transport. This gives you a flexible alternative to keeping a fixed enclosure in one place.

What matters most

The mesh windows and ceiling provide airflow and visibility from around the enclosure. That open view can help you keep an eye on your pet while giving it a contained area for resting or settling in. Both doors can be rolled up and secured, making it easier for pets to enter and exit or for you to reach inside. A side pocket provides a spot for small pet items.

The enclosure is made from nylon and Oxford fabric, with a 600D Oxford cloth construction described as wear-resistant. Its waterproof bottom can be wiped or spot-cleaned after a mess. A removable blanket can add a familiar resting surface and be taken out for cleaning.

Customer feedback is mixed on durability and sturdiness: some buyers describe a useful enclosure for small pets, while others report tearing or concerns about stability. The product guidance recommends placing heavy items inside to increase stability and says the playpen is not suitable for aggressive pets.

How it fits

At 31.5 x 23.62 x 21.65 inches, the medium rectangular playpen is intended for cats, dogs, puppies, rabbits, and other small animals. It can serve as a temporary or longer-term contained space, including for indoor use, outdoor use, travel, or camping. For example, you can unfold it in a room to create a defined area for a kitten, then fold it away when you need the floor space back.

A rigid crate is a different approach for people who specifically want a fixed enclosure. This playpen is better suited to situations where portability, visibility, and access through two doors are useful. It is also described for training and socialization, as well as keeping a pet in a comfortable contained area during post-surgery recovery.

Practical tips

Assembly involves unfolding the playpen and inserting its support rods, the product information gives an assembly time of about three minutes. Set it on a suitable surface, secure the doors as needed, and add weight inside to increase stability. For cleanup, wipe the waterproof bottom or spot-clean it, and remove a blanket separately if you use one. When finished, fold the enclosure for storage or carry it in the included bag.

Should you buy it?

This XRG playpen suits pet owners who need a portable, visible space for a small animal rather than a permanent enclosure. Its mesh panels, roll-up doors, wipe-clean bottom, and foldable format support everyday use at home and on trips. Choose it for a non-aggressive pet whose size and behavior suit a soft-sided playpen, and use the included carry bag when moving the enclosure between locations.
