Chryseos Pool Filter 150 sq. ft.

The 150 sq. ft. filtration area gives this Chryseos pool filter a clear sizing reference for owners replacing a compatible cartridge. It is listed for PLM 150, 27002-0150S, and System 2 150 sq. ft. modular setups, so the main buying question is whether those references match your existing filter—not just whether the area sounds right.

It’s an independent-brand replacement, not a filter made by the manufacturers named for compatibility.

Where it shines

This filter is aimed at a straightforward replacement: take out a compatible cartridge and install a new one without changing the broader filtration setup. The listing describes installation and replacement as easy, which suits a routine swap when you already know the part your system uses. Picture checking the label on your old filter, matching the part number, then replacing it as part of regular pool upkeep.

If you prioritize a direct replacement for the listed PLM 150 or 27002-0150S references, this approach is more relevant than choosing a filter based only on a general pool-care need. If you prefer to choose by brand-specific documentation or verified measurements for your exact system, look for those details before settling on this independent option. It’s a great fit if your current cartridge matches the listed compatibility references, It’s not for you if you need confirmed compatibility with a model that isn’t named here.

Quick overview

The filter has a listed filtration area of 150 sq. ft. Its dimensions are 13-3/4 inches long, 23-3/4 inches high, and 13-3/4 inches wide. Those measurements are useful for comparing it with the cartridge you’re replacing, especially when a part number is missing or hard to read. A matching area rating by itself does not establish that the filter will fit, without that measurement, the fit remains uncertain.

The compatibility note says that other manufacturers’ names and part numbers are used only to identify compatible products, and that Chryseos is an independent brand. That distinction matters if you expect an original manufacturer-branded cartridge rather than a compatible replacement.

Care & maintenance

The listing says the filter is easy to clean with proper maintenance and intended for extended use, but it does not provide a cleaning method or schedule. Follow the guidance for your pool system rather than assuming a particular chemical, tool, or cleaning interval is suitable. Keeping up with the maintenance your setup requires is part of getting useful service from a reusable filter, the product details alone don’t establish how long it will last in your conditions.

When it makes sense

Choose this cartridge when its listed part references and dimensions line up with the filter already in your system, and you want a compatible replacement with a 150 sq. ft. filtration area. The stated dimensions also give you a practical comparison point before ordering. If your system model is uncertain, or the measurements differ from your existing cartridge, don’t rely on the filtration area alone to make the call. That’s the key tradeoff: this is a focused replacement option for a match you can identify, rather than a universal pick for any pool filter setup.
