Chryseos Pool Filter 100 sq. ft.

When a pool filter needs replacing, matching the old element to the system’s part number and dimensions can save a frustrating mismatch. This Chryseos replacement is listed for PLM100 and 27002-0100S systems.

It has a 100 sq. ft. filtration area and comes as a single filter. Those details make it easier to compare with the filter you’re taking out before ordering.

Key points

The listing identifies this filter as compatible with 27002-0100S, System 2 modular media, and PLM100. Its dimensions are 13-3/4 inches long, 23-3/4 inches high, and 13-3/4 inches wide, with a 100 sq. ft. filtration area. Use those figures alongside the model information on your existing filter or pool system, a similar-looking cartridge alone isn’t enough to establish a match.

Keep in mind that the stated compatibility is limited to the listed references. Chryseos is described as an independent brand, and the other manufacturers’ names and part numbers are used to identify compatibility, not to imply that this is their product. If you’re replacing a different filter, the provided details don’t confirm a fit.

It makes sense if you need one replacement filter for a system identified by the listed model or part number and want dimensions to compare before buying. The one-pack format is also straightforward if you’re replacing a single element rather than stocking multiple spares.

Cleaning & care

The product description says the filter is easy to clean with proper maintenance, but it doesn’t specify a cleaning method or schedule. Follow the instructions for your pool system and the filter’s care guidance rather than assuming that every filter can be cleaned the same way. Regular upkeep is presented as part of extending its useful life, no lifespan duration is provided.

For a practical check, compare the removed filter’s markings and size with the listing before installation. Once the replacement is in hand, the stated easy-install design may help make a routine swap less involved, though the description doesn’t detail tools, steps, or installation conditions.

Practical tips

Before choosing this over a filter from another approach, decide what matters more: matching a listed reference, or getting confirmed fitment for a different system. This listing gives you specific model identifiers and dimensions to work from, but it doesn’t name additional compatible models. If your old filter’s label is missing, use the pool-system documentation or confirm the required model rather than relying on appearance alone.

Picture a seasonal replacement: you take out the existing filter, note its part number, then compare that number and its measurements with this listing. That is a more useful check than judging by the cartridge shape alone. The stated filtration area also gives you another figure to compare, while the single-filter pack tells you what quantity is included.

Not the best choice if you need a confirmed match for an unlisted model, want more than one filter in the package, or need detailed cleaning and installation instructions on the product page.

Buying verdict

This Chryseos filter is worth considering when your system’s reference matches one of the listed identifiers and the dimensions line up with the element you’re replacing. The specific fit information and 100 sq. ft. filtration area give you useful checks before purchase. If you can’t confirm the model, or your system calls for a different reference, choose a replacement with compatibility explicitly stated for that system instead.
