SUPCASE Unicorn Beetle Pro SUP-Switch2025-UBPro Nintendo Switch 2 Case, Green

Some players want a cover that stays on for docking, others prioritize a secure grip and everyday protection. The green SUPCASE Unicorn Beetle Pro is designed to combine those needs in one hard-shell case. Need to keep the case on when you dock your console? Its shape is designed for uninterrupted docking with compatible official docks and charging stations.

How it fits

Made specifically for the 2025 Nintendo Switch 2, this case uses a foldable hinge design that lets you attach and remove the Joy-Con controllers while keeping them covered. The case is designed to remain on during docking, so moving from handheld play to a docked setup does not require taking it off. Its integrated coverage also helps keep the controllers firmly connected during play. Note that the case blocks use of the console’s kickstand, so it is not suited to setups that rely on that feature.

The rubberized, textured grip gives your hands a more secure-feeling surface during longer sessions or fast-paced gameplay. Its ergonomic shape is intended to support comfortable handling, while the built-in hard shell adds protection around the console. For example, you can keep the cover fitted when carrying the Switch 2 between rooms, then place it in a compatible dock for TV play.

Pros

The polycarbonate shell is designed to help protect against drops, impacts, and scratches. A 2.5 mm raised bezel sits above the screen to provide an added protective edge, while the textured grip helps with handling during handheld play. The dockable design is a practical advantage for players who prefer not to remove a protective case every time they switch play modes.

Buyers commonly praise the dock fit, the textured grip, and the case’s protective feel. Some also point out that the covered kickstand cannot be used, which is worth considering if tabletop play with the built-in stand is part of your routine. These impressions reflect customer feedback rather than a guarantee of a particular result.

Questions before you buy

Does the case work with the Nintendo Switch 2 dock? Yes. It is designed to fit the console while docked, allowing you to keep the case installed when using a compatible official dock or charging station.

Can I remove the Joy-Con controllers with the case on? The foldable hinge design supports attaching and removing the Joy-Con controllers while the case provides coverage for them.

Can I use the Switch 2 kickstand with this case? No. The case blocks the console’s kickstand function, so plan to play handheld or docked rather than relying on the built-in stand.

Is it worth it?

A solid pick if you want a hard-shell cover for a Nintendo Switch 2 that combines a textured ergonomic grip, Joy-Con coverage, and dock-ready use. Its raised screen edge and stated drop protection make it a practical fit for everyday handheld play and moving between handheld and docked sessions, with the kickstand trade-off kept clear.
