Smolink Cat 8 50ft Black Ethernet Cable, 40Gbps, 2000MHz, RJ45

The 50-foot flat format gives this Smolink Cat 8 Ethernet cable room to route along a wall, around a corner, or beneath a desk. Its nylon-braided jacket and black finish make it suited to longer wired connections where an orderly cable path matters.

With RJ45 connectors at both ends, it connects compatible network equipment across a range of Cat Ethernet categories. Need to link a router to a gaming setup or workstation farther across the room? The extended reach can make that layout easier to manage.

The Cat 8 specification supports high-bandwidth wired networking, while the U/FTP construction is designed to help reduce crosstalk, noise, and signal interference. The flat shape is useful for routing the cable close to surfaces and around room edges, the braided exterior adds a protective layer for everyday handling. Together, these details make it practical for a fixed home network run as well as a setup that may need rearranging.

What it works with

The standard RJ45 ends are backward compatible with Cat 7, Cat 6, Cat 6a, and Cat 5e devices. Listed examples include routers, modems, switches, gaming PCs, PS5 and PS4 consoles, Xbox, smart TVs, laptops, printers, security cameras, and VoIP phones. Check that the equipment being connected has an Ethernet port, this is a wired LAN cable, not a wireless networking device.

Compared with a short patch cable meant to connect devices sitting side by side, the 50-foot length gives more flexibility for equipment positioned in different parts of a room or home. Its flat profile can help keep a longer run close to a wall or under a desk rather than bundled beside the router.

Best use cases

Use it to connect a router or modem to a gaming console, desktop PC, TV, or workstation that needs a wired network connection. In a home office, the longer reach can help place a computer where it fits the workspace while keeping the network connection routed along a chosen path. For a gaming room, it offers a direct Ethernet link between the network equipment and a console or PC.

Customer feedback often highlights perceived speed, sturdy construction, the flat profile, and the useful length. Some buyers also report intermittent connectivity, while opinions on flexibility vary: some find it easy to route, and others describe it as stiff. The flat braided design is particularly relevant when planning a run along a floor, wall, or beneath furniture.

Should you buy it?

Choose this cable when you want a long Cat 8 Ethernet connection with RJ45 ends and a flat, braided construction for routing between rooms or around a workspace. Its 50-foot reach suits home offices, gaming setups, and other wired network layouts where a short cable would not span the distance. It brings high-bandwidth Cat 8 capability and broad backward compatibility to a practical, extended cable run.
