GEARit GI-CAT6-CCA-OUT-LDPE-BK-75F Cat 6 Outdoor Ethernet Cable, 75 ft

A short indoor connection and a longer outdoor network run call for different cable features. This 75 ft GEARit Cat 6 cable is made for connecting equipment across outdoor spaces, with a jacket rated for direct burial.

Its black LLDPE jacket is UV-resistant and waterproof, making it suitable for outdoor routing to a router or PoE camera. The cable can also be used indoors for a home or business network.

For a connection that can be routed underground, the cable combines four twisted pairs of 24 AWG copper-clad aluminum wire with RJ45 connectors and protective bubble boots.

Technical overview

• Type: Cat 6 Ethernet cable
• Length: 75 ft
• Conductor: 24 AWG copper-clad aluminum (CCA), four twisted pairs
• Jacket: LLDPE, UV-resistant and waterproof, rated for direct burial
• Connectors: RJ45, gold-plated, with flexible PVC bubble boots
• Bandwidth: 550 MHz
• Data rate: Up to 10 Gbps
• Color and shape: Black, round
• Included: Ethernet cable

The Cat 6 format supports network connections for compatible Ethernet equipment, while the direct-burial-rated jacket makes underground routing an option for a permanent or temporary outdoor installation. Bubble boots cover the connector locks to help protect them from wear and make the locking tab easier to press when disconnecting the cable. For temporary setups, that can make equipment changes more convenient.

Best use cases

Use this cable to connect an outdoor router, a PoE camera, or another compatible Ethernet device where the network route crosses a yard or other outdoor area. Burying the run can keep it out of the way instead of leaving a cable across a walking path. It also works for indoor network runs, including a home office or a connection between rooms.

The practical choice depends on the route: a short, visible indoor connection may call for a shorter cable, while a longer outdoor run benefits from this 75 ft length and a jacket designed for direct burial. Customer feedback highlights outdoor use, signal quality, and operation in changing weather. Some buyers also describe the cable as stiff, so plan the route with its firm construction in mind.

What’s included

The package includes one Ethernet cable. Its RJ45 connectors are intended for Ethernet connections on compatible network equipment, such as a router or PoE camera.

Practical questions

Can this cable be buried underground? Yes. Its LLDPE jacket is rated for direct burial, and the cable is designed for outdoor installation. Route it according to the needs of your installation.

What data rate and bandwidth does it support? The Cat 6 cable is rated for data rates up to 10 Gbps and a bandwidth of 550 MHz. Actual network performance depends on the connected equipment and setup.

What can I connect with the RJ45 ends? Use the cable with compatible Ethernet equipment, including an outdoor router or PoE camera. Check that the device has an RJ45 Ethernet connection.

Buying verdict

For a home office, outdoor router, or PoE camera connection that needs a longer route, this GEARit cable brings together a 75 ft length, Cat 6 performance, and a jacket rated for direct burial. It’s a practical fit when keeping an outdoor Ethernet run protected and out of the way is part of the installation.
