Orbram OB-Flat-Braided-30M Cat 8 Ethernet Cable, 100 ft Flat Nylon Braided

At 100 feet, this Orbram Cat 8 Ethernet cable gives you room to connect devices across a home or workspace without keeping them close to the router. Its flat shape can follow walls, edges, and corners for a more discreet cable route.

The nylon-braided exterior adds a flexible, tangle-resistant layer for everyday routing. The cable is black and designed for indoor and outdoor use.

With male-to-male RJ45 connectors, it links compatible network equipment directly, from routers and modems to computers and gaming consoles.

Fit and sizing

The 100-foot length suits setups where the network device and connected equipment are in different parts of a room or building. Plan the route along the surfaces, edges, or corners between them, the flat profile makes it easier to lay the cable close to a wall than a round cable may be. Its braided nylon exterior supports flexible handling when arranging the run, while the black finish keeps the cable visually understated.

This is a wired connection for devices with an RJ45 port. The listed compatible equipment includes PCs, laptops, Macs, routers, modems, network switches, printers, smart TVs, and gaming consoles such as PlayStation and Xbox systems. It is also listed as compatible with Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6, and Cat6A Ethernet cable setups, making it a practical choice for adding a long Cat 8 run to a mixed network.

What you’ll notice day to day

A wired Ethernet connection gives you a direct network link between your equipment and router or switch. The cable is specified for data rates up to 40 Gbps and a bandwidth of 2,000 MHz, with a shielded S/FTP construction intended to help protect signal quality from crosstalk, noise, and interference. Those specifications make it suited to demanding network uses such as gaming, HD video streaming, server connections, and cloud storage, when the connected equipment and network support them.

The flat form is useful when a cable needs to follow a room’s perimeter rather than cross an open floor, and the braided cover helps keep the run manageable while positioning it. Buyers often praise the braided appearance, flexibility, and solid feel. Feedback on connectivity and long-term durability is mixed, so experiences vary, the stated construction and design remain useful factors when choosing a cable for a planned wired setup.

Is it worth it?

Choose this cable when your priority is a long wired run with a flat profile that can follow walls and corners. Its 100-foot length, RJ45 ends, braided nylon exterior, and Cat 8 specifications make it a practical fit for connecting network equipment, computers, and consoles across a larger space. Compared with a short patch cable intended for devices beside a router, this format is designed to cover more distance while keeping the route close to room edges.
