Everyday compatibility

Use the fan indoors or in a covered outdoor space, such as a living room or covered patio. The two included downrods—8 inches and 19.6 inches—provide options for different ceiling heights, and the fan supports sloped ceilings up to 15 degrees. For everyday operation, the remote and app handle speed, timing, and lighting adjustments. A standard wall switch provides fan on/off control only, connect it directly rather than using a fan control switch or dimmer.

This setup suits households that want airflow and adjustable light from one ceiling fixture. Compared with choosing a fan-only fixture and handling room lighting separately, the integrated dimmable light lets you switch between bright, neutral illumination and a softer warm setting in the same space.

Usage tips

Select one of the six fan speeds to suit the room and use the reversible motor to change airflow direction for seasonal comfort. The light’s three color settings—warm, neutral, and cool—make it easier to match the room’s mood or activity, while dimming lets you adjust brightness. For example, use a brighter setting for reading or tasks, then lower the light for a more relaxed evening atmosphere.

The DC motor is rated at 40 watts, and the listed airflow capacity is 5,980 CFM. Buyers commonly praise the airflow, appearance, assembly, and range of remote-control settings. These are useful points to weigh when comparing a multi-control ceiling fan with a simpler model.

When it makes sense

It makes sense if you want a 60-inch fan with an integrated light, app and remote operation, and reversible airflow for an indoor or covered outdoor area. The adjustable light and six speeds give you practical control over both illumination and circulation, while the included downrods support different ceiling setups. For a living room, garage, meeting room, or covered patio where these functions serve a regular purpose, the ZS106 combines them in one black, eight-blade fixture.
