DAHUICFL FSD-42-Black 42-Inch Flush-Mount Ceiling Fan with LED Light & Remote

Choosing a ceiling fan often comes down to two needs: adding airflow without a long downrod, or combining a fan and light in one ceiling fixture. This 42-inch DAHUICFL brings both functions together in a flush-mount design.

A remote adjusts the fan’s six speeds and the LED light’s three color settings. The DC motor also supports forward and reverse operation, so you can select an airflow direction for the season.

For everyday comfort, the built-in timer offers 1-, 2-, and 4-hour settings. The light remembers its last color setting, making it easier to return to a preferred ambiance.

Key takeaways

The black fan has three blades, an integrated LED light, and a low-profile flush mount. Its three light color modes are warm yellow at 3000K, natural light at 4500K, and cool white at 6500K. Choose a warmer tone for a relaxed evening or a cooler setting for cooking and other tasks.

The remote puts light and fan controls in one place, including six fan speeds, timer settings, and forward/reverse operation. A wall-mount holder is included for keeping the remote accessible. AAA batteries are not included. The light’s memory function retains the last color setting when the fixture is switched off and back on after 10 seconds.

Customers have praised the airflow, quiet operation, appearance, and installation directions. Feedback on remote operation and light brightness is mixed, so those preferences may vary from household to household.

Quick sizing guide

The 42-inch blade span is specified for rooms up to 225 square feet, with a listed example of a 15-foot-by-15-foot room. The fan is designed for flush mounting, which keeps the installation close to the ceiling. For safe placement, keep the fan blades at least 8 feet above the floor.

The blades are black on one side and woodgrain on the other, giving you a choice of finish during assembly. That detail can help coordinate the fan with the room without changing its integrated light or remote-controlled functions.

Who it’s for

This fan suits bedrooms, living rooms, dining rooms, kitchens, and kids’ rooms where a ceiling-mounted light and adjustable airflow are useful together. Six speeds make it possible to choose a setting for the moment, while the timer can switch the fan off after a selected interval. The reversible motor offers forward and reverse modes, and the remote lets you manage the main functions from across the room.

If you are choosing between a separate fan and light or a combined fixture, this design brings both into one flush-mounted unit. It’s a great fit if you want a black ceiling fan with adjustable LED color and remote controls in a single installation.
