Ohniyou GLX049 96-Inch Industrial Ceiling Fan, 7 Aluminum Blades, Remote and App Control

For a workshop, gym, or warehouse with high ceilings and separate lighting, the Ohniyou GLX049 moves air across a large area without adding a light fixture. Its 96-inch span and airflow capacity of up to 17,500 CFM are designed for spacious settings where broad air circulation is the priority.

Choose this lightless design when the space already has lighting, for a room that needs both illumination and airflow from one fixture, a fan with an integrated light serves a different purpose.

What you’ll notice day to day

Six speeds let you adjust airflow to the activity in the room, while the remote and smartphone app provide control from the floor—a practical detail when the fan is mounted high above a work area. The reversible motor switches between downward airflow for warm-weather cooling and upward airflow to help circulate warm air collected near the ceiling in winter. A timer offers 1-, 2-, and 4-hour auto-off settings, and the remote’s control beep can be muted.

The seven aluminum blades and black finish suit an industrial-style space. The motor has a rated noise level below 40 dB, a useful consideration for work areas or gyms where fan noise is part of the daily environment. Buyers also highlight quiet operation, airflow, and the remote control, and some describe installation as straightforward.

The included downrods can be used individually or connected for approximate mounting lengths of 20, 40, 60, or 80 inches, giving installers options for different ceiling heights. The fan supports flat ceilings and sloped ceilings up to 15 degrees. Its listed indoor and outdoor applications include barns, covered patios, gyms, shops, and warehouses.

For a typical setup, select a downrod arrangement suited to the ceiling, then use the remote or app to set the airflow and timer. Switching direction seasonally also gives the fan a role beyond summer cooling, helping circulate air in a high-ceiling room year-round.

Is it worth it?

It suits you if you need a large-format fan for a spacious workshop, shop, gym, or similar area and want to control it without reaching a wall switch or climbing to the fixture. The combination of a 96-inch span, six speeds, app and remote control, reversible airflow, and multiple downrod configurations makes it a focused choice for high-ceiling spaces where lighting is already handled separately.
