Nugnurt Mahjong Mat, 31.5" x 31.5

For mahjong players who want a softer, quieter surface and a way to store the mat without folding it, this Nugnurt set takes aim at two everyday table-game annoyances. The blue background and pink lotus pattern also add a little color without changing how you play.

The mat measures 31.5" x 31.5" and has a 3mm rubber base. An adjustable protective tube and an Oxford fabric carry bag are listed with it, so storage and transport are part of the package rather than an afterthought.

For a home game, that means you can roll the mat up after the tiles are put away, then bring it along to a friend’s place without relying on a loose fabric bag alone. It also suits poker and other tabletop games.

Key specifications

The playing surface is paired with a 3mm high-density natural rubber base. That cushioning is intended to soften the sound of tiles being stacked and moved, while the non-slip backing is designed to grip glass, wood, and marble tabletops. The stated size is 31.5" x 31.5", check that against your table and the space your group needs before choosing.

The surface has a water-resistant coating, and the care instructions described are simple: wipe spills with a soft cloth after play. That makes everyday drink splashes less stressful, though it is still sensible to clean them promptly rather than treat the mat as spill-proof. The blue-and-pink lotus design is a more decorative choice than a plain solid-color mat.

Who it’s for

This setup makes sense for regular home games, casual gatherings, or players who want to carry a mat between locations. The cushioned surface addresses tile noise, and the rubber underside is intended to help keep the mat from sliding as players reach across the table. A quick scene: after a late game, roll the mat into its rigid tube, put it in the carry bag, and clear the tabletop without folding the surface sharply.

A solid pick if you want a portable mahjong mat that can also serve for cards and other tabletop games. It might not be a great match if your table needs a larger playing area than the stated dimensions or if you want a complete game set, the listed package focuses on the mat and its storage accessories. On the spec sheet, the noise-reducing base and protective tube are the main reasons to choose this over a basic mat that stores in a soft bag.

In the box

The listed items are the mahjong mat, an adjustable protective tube, and an Oxford fabric carry bag. The tube is described as extending from 25" to 40", giving you a rigid storage option for the rolled mat. Mahjong tiles are not listed among the included items, so plan on having your own set.

Before you decide

Will it work for games other than mahjong? The product description also names poker, card games, and other tabletop activities.

How do you clean the surface? It has a water-resistant coating and is described as wipe-clean with a soft cloth. Prompt cleanup is still the practical approach for drinks and other spills.

Does the set include tiles? The listed contents are the mat, adjustable tube, and carry bag, tiles are not mentioned.

Buying verdict

Choose this mat if a compact playing surface, quieter tile movement, and structured roll-up storage matter more than having a larger mat or buying a ready-to-play kit. The tube and carry bag make it a more travel-minded alternative to a mat stored loose or folded, while the 31.5" square size is the key tradeoff. Measure your available table space first, if that footprint works, the included storage pieces give the set a clear practical purpose.
