Majolicia American Mahjong Tile Set, 160 Tiles

Highlights

If you want a set with the pieces and a few useful extras together, this one covers more than a basic tile-only purchase. It includes 160 tiles for American mahjong, plus accessories and a zippered storage bag.

On the spec sheet, the tile mix includes 36 dots, 36 bams, 36 cracks, 12 dragons, 16 winds, 8 flowers, 10 jokers, and 6 blank spares. The tiles have engraved surfaces and clear, easy-to-read numbers, which gives players a tactile way to handle and identify them during a game.

The package also includes 100 colorful chips, 3 dice, a wind indicator, and an American mahjong instruction manual. That makes it a practical starting point for a household putting together its first game night, although the manual’s presence does not tell you how detailed its teaching is.

Size & fit

Each tile measures 1.2 × 0.9 × 0.5 inches. That’s the key detail to weigh if you prefer larger pieces or already know what size feels comfortable in your hands. The product information describes them as comfortable to handle, but individual preferences vary, keep in mind that there’s no alternative tile size listed here.

The zippered bag is sized to hold all 160 tiles and is described as compact for carrying. For example, you could pack the set after a game and bring it to a family gathering without keeping the tiles loose in a box. The product details don’t give the bag’s dimensions or say how the accessories fit inside, so don’t assume everything has a dedicated place in it.

Tips for day-to-day use

For a first session, lay out the tiles and accessories before players arrive, then use the included instructions as a starting point. The 6 blank spares are part of the tile count, so keep them separate until you know how your group wants to use them. The 3 dice and wind indicator are included, but the product details don’t explain their specific handling or storage.

After play, count the tiles back into the bag, its stated capacity matches the full tile set. It suits you if you want an American mahjong set for casual play with family or friends and value having the main accessories in one package. Not the best choice if you need a different tile size, want details about the manual’s contents, or need a bag confirmed to store every accessory as well as the tiles.
