MEIQ S1107 Mini Magnetic Tiles Travel Set, 40-Piece Diamond-Texture Tiles

At a restaurant table or during a car ride, this compact magnetic tile set gives kids a hands-on building activity to take along. The 40 pieces come in a yellow storage box that helps keep them together between play sessions. Diamond-textured surfaces add visual interest, while tiles 10% thicker than standard magnetic building blocks offer a distinctive feel for building.

Highlights

The set includes 14 squares, 12 equilateral triangles, 8 right triangles, and 6 isosceles triangles. That mix gives children several shapes to combine into castles, animals, and other imaginative structures, with no single prescribed design. Magnetic connections support building in three dimensions, so play can move beyond flat arrangements and into taller creations.

A diamond pattern across the tiles catches the light and adds texture to each build. The tiles are made of ABS plastic with rounded edges, and the manufacturer describes them as 10% thicker than standard magnetic building blocks. The yellow storage box keeps the pieces in one place and is sized to fit in a backpack, it can also serve as a building base. For families choosing between a dedicated at-home building set and a travel-ready activity, the compact case makes this set especially suited to outings and shared play away from the playroom.

The set is intended for children ages 3 and up. Its open-ended format can encourage spatial reasoning, fine motor skills, creativity, and problem-solving through hands-on construction. Customers particularly appreciate its travel-friendly size and engaging play, and some mention using the tiles to give children a screen-free activity during meals.

Tips for day-to-day use

Keep the tiles together in their yellow box after play to make the set easier to carry to the next destination. At home, the pieces can be used on a table or floor for individual building or shared projects with a parent, grandparent, or classmate. The varied triangles and squares make it easy to experiment with different shapes and structures, children can build freely rather than follow a fixed design. The manufacturer states that the set complies with ASTM F963 and CPSIA standards.

Best use cases

This set is a natural fit for car rides, flights, restaurant waits, and other outings where a portable activity is useful.
