MechLands AJAZZ AK870 V2 TKL Mechanical Keyboard, Tri-Mode, Gasket-Mounted, RGB

Set up a gaming or work desk where a full-size keyboard would take up too much room. The MechLands AJAZZ AK870 V2 brings an 87-key tenkeyless layout to a compact footprint while keeping the essential keys close at hand.

Choose Bluetooth 5.0, 2.4GHz wireless, or USB-C connectivity to suit your setup. The rechargeable 10,000mAh battery supports cable-free use, while the USB-C option gives you a wired connection when that works better for your desk.

Its gasket-mounted construction, hot-swappable design, and RGB backlighting add practical customization for everyday typing and gaming. The White Yellow colorway gives the keyboard a distinctive look without changing its compact TKL format.

Why it makes sense

An 87-key TKL layout keeps the number pad out of the way, leaving more room for mouse movement or other desk essentials while retaining the main typing and navigation keys. It suits a shared workspace, a smaller gaming desk, or a setup that gets moved between locations. Compared with a wired-only keyboard, the AK870 V2 offers Bluetooth and 2.4GHz options as well as USB-C, so you can choose a connection based on how you want to use it.

The rechargeable 10,000mAh battery is designed for extended use between charges. The stated runtime is 36 hours with RGB lighting on and 196 hours with it off. An adjustable two-level stand lets you set the typing angle, and the Win/Mac mode switch makes it easy to select the corresponding operating mode.

What matters most

The gasket-mounted structure combines Poron foam, an IXPE switch pad, PET sound-absorbing material, EPDM socket foam, and a silicone base pad. Together with the flex-cut polycarbonate plate, these construction details shape the keyboard’s typing feel and sound. Linear switches provide a consistent switch type, and the hot-swappable design gives users a way to customize the switches.

RGB backlighting adds adjustable visual color to the desk setup. NKRO supports registering multiple key presses, a useful feature for gaming inputs and complex keyboard shortcuts. The layout is QWERTY, with 87 keys in total. A keycap puller and USB cable are listed among the included components, supporting routine keycap access and wired connection.

Who it’s for

The AK870 V2 is suited to players and typists who want a smaller keyboard without giving up essential keys, plus the flexibility to connect wirelessly or by cable. It’s a great fit if you switch between gaming and everyday computer use, want to personalize the lighting, or value a hot-swappable keyboard design. For a practical desk scenario, connect over 2.4GHz for a wireless gaming setup, then use USB-C when you prefer a wired desk arrangement.

Before you decide

Which connection options does it support? It offers Bluetooth 5.0, 2.4GHz wireless, and USB-C connectivity. The connection can be selected using the keyboard’s connectivity switch.

How long does the battery last? The listed runtime is 36 hours with RGB lighting on and 196 hours with RGB lighting off. The keyboard has a rechargeable 10,000mAh battery.

Can the switches be changed? The keyboard is described as hot-swappable, so its design supports switch customization. It uses linear switches.

Final verdict

For a compact desk that still needs a full set of essential typing keys, the AJAZZ AK870 V2 combines an 87-key TKL layout with three connection modes, a rechargeable battery, and a gasket-mounted build. Its adjustable stand and RGB lighting add useful setup choices, making it a considered option for gaming and everyday typing in a flexible desktop setup.
