HP OMEN 45L gaming PC with 64GB RAM

Key specifications

When a gaming PC needs to handle games, streaming, and demanding multitasking, the component mix matters more than a flashy case. The HP OMEN 45L pairs an Intel Core i7-12700KF with 64GB of RAM, giving it plenty of memory for running several applications at once.

Its graphics card is the key qualification. The GeForce GTX 1660 Super is aimed at 1080p gaming, so this system is more compelling for that use than for buyers chasing the latest, most demanding graphics settings.

The listed configuration also includes a 2TB PCIe SSD, liquid cooling, an 800W 80 Plus Gold power supply, and Windows 11 Home. That gives you a ready-to-use desktop setup without choosing each component separately.

Who it’s for

This PC makes sense for someone who wants one tower for gaming, streaming, and background tasks such as voice chat, browsing, or editing. For example, you could keep a game open while switching to a browser and streaming software, the 64GB of RAM gives those applications room to run together. The Core i7-12700KF is also a substantial part of the appeal for workloads beyond gaming.

A solid pick if you value a prebuilt system with generous memory and storage, plus liquid cooling and a tempered-glass RGB design. The trade-off is that the GTX 1660 Super sets a clearer limit on graphics performance than the CPU and memory figures might suggest. If your priority is the newest demanding games at higher resolutions or settings, a system centered on a more powerful graphics card is the better direction.

What you get

The listed package includes the OMEN 45L tower, a Wi-Fi adapter, and Windows 11 Home preinstalled. For wired networking, it has Gigabit Ethernet, the rear connections include USB Type-A and Type-C ports, and the system supports 5.1 surround sound through DTS:X Ultra. OMEN Light Studio software controls the RGB lighting.

The 2TB PCIe SSD is useful if you keep a sizeable game library installed rather than regularly removing titles to make room. The 800W Gold-rated power supply may also appeal if you value power capacity in a desktop you plan to keep, though the listing doesn’t identify specific future upgrades as compatible. That makes it sensible to treat upgrade potential as a possibility, not a guarantee.

Questions before you buy

Is this a good fit for 1080p gaming? The product description positions the GTX 1660 Super for 1080p play. Exact results will vary by game and settings, so don’t read that as a promise of high settings in every title.

Does it include wireless networking? A Wi-Fi adapter is listed, along with Gigabit Ethernet for a wired connection. The listing doesn’t specify the adapter’s wireless standard.

Is Windows included? Yes. Windows 11 Home is listed as preinstalled, so the tower is described as ready to use with that operating system.

Should you buy it?

Choose this OMEN if you want a prebuilt desktop with a Core i7, 64GB RAM, and 2TB of storage for a mix of 1080p gaming and multitasking. The graphics card is the deciding compromise: it makes the setup less suited to buyers whose main goal is stronger performance in demanding games. You may want to skip it if graphics capability matters more to you than the system’s memory, storage, and overall component mix.
