Lazukes BG0009A1 Waterproof Shower Lamp with Ocean Wave Projector & Remote

Choosing bathroom lighting for visibility is different from choosing it to make a bath or shower feel more relaxing. The Lazukes BG0009A1 is designed around the second need, with an ocean-wave projection effect and color-changing LED light. It is rechargeable and cordless, so it can also sit on a bedside table when it is not being used in the bathroom.

Worth noting

This lamp combines a tabletop light with a projector: lifting the shade reveals the moving wave effect, while the product description also presents it as a soft nightlight. Its LED lighting offers color and brightness adjustments, with remote and touch controls. The remote is useful when the lamp is across the room, touch control gives another way to adjust it nearby. A charging cable and remote are listed as included components.

The manufacturer describes the lamp as waterproof and says the USB-C port has a rubber cover, with a silicone seal around the touch switch. However, buyer feedback on water resistance is mixed, as are reports about whether the lamp continues working reliably. That makes the waterproof claim worth treating cautiously rather than as a reason to leave the light in any amount of water. Buyers also differ on brightness: some find it bright enough, while others would prefer stronger illumination. Feedback is more consistently positive about the range of colors and the calming atmosphere it can create.

Usage tips

The lamp is intended for tabletop placement and uses a rechargeable 3,600mAh battery. The product description states up to 12 hours of continuous use per charge, though actual battery-life feedback varies. It can be moved between rooms without keeping it plugged in, but the charging cable is useful when the battery needs replenishing. Since it is a mood light rather than a dedicated task-lighting product, use it for atmosphere and keep your usual bathroom lighting available when you need clearer visibility.

Best use cases

This design makes sense for a relaxing bath, a quieter evening shower, or a bedside setting where color and projected movement matter more than focused illumination. For example, it can be placed on a bathroom surface before a bath, then controlled with the remote to adjust the color or brightness without reaching for the lamp. It makes sense if you want a portable ambient light with both projection and conventional tabletop use. A basic fixed nightlight is a simpler choice if you only need a steady glow, a brighter dedicated bathroom fixture is better suited to tasks where clear, even visibility is the priority.

Practical questions

Does the lamp need to stay plugged in? No. It is battery-powered and rechargeable, and the product description claims up to 12 hours of continuous use per charge. Buyer comments on battery life vary.

Can it replace the main bathroom light? It is presented as a mood lamp and soft nightlight, and feedback on its brightness is mixed. It is better considered supplemental lighting than a dependable source for detailed tasks.

Is it safe to use in a shower? It is marketed as waterproof, with seals described around the shade, charging port, and touch switch. Buyer reports about water resistance are mixed, so the available information does not support treating that protection as guaranteed in every shower setup.

Buying verdict

The BG0009A1 is a good fit to consider when the main goal is cordless ambient lighting with color changes and an ocean-wave projection, rather than strong bathroom illumination. Its remote and touch controls add flexibility, and the rechargeable format makes it easy to move between a bathroom and bedside table. It might not be a great match if you need a proven primary light source or want certainty about performance around frequent water exposure, buyer feedback raises questions about both brightness and water resistance.
