The paper shade and wood base give it a softer, more decorative appearance than a basic task lamp. Its foldable construction is useful when the lamp needs to move between rooms or be put away. The listed dimensions and shade height are both provided, but the product details do not explain how the dimensions relate to the lamp’s adjustable setup.
How to use it
Set the lamp on a tabletop, then use the touch control to turn it on and adjust brightness. The adjustable accordion form lets you change its height to fit a bedside table, desk, or another indoor surface. For a practical scenario, it can provide warm light beside a book during a quiet evening, then fold down for storage or moving to another room.
Compared with a fixed-height lamp intended primarily for focused work, this one puts more emphasis on portability, adjustable form, and decorative ambient light. It suits you if you want a rechargeable accent lamp for a bedroom, living room, reading corner, or dry tent setup. It may not suit you if the lamp will be exposed to moisture: the listing says it is not water resistant, despite also naming outdoor use.
Usage tips
Keep the paper shade away from wet areas and handle it with care when folding or adjusting it. The product information does not specify battery runtime or charging time, so those details may matter if you plan to rely on it for extended periods away from USB power. Its warm, dimmable light is described for reading and relaxing, if you need a dedicated, highly directed task light, compare the intended lighting style before choosing.
What to clarify
How long does the battery last? A 1700mAh rechargeable battery is listed, but no operating time is provided.
Does it come with a charging cable? The included components list the lamp, a USB port, and a user manual, it does not specify a cable.
Can it be used outdoors? Outdoor use is mentioned, but the lamp is not water resistant, so it should be kept dry.
Final verdict
The Ba suns OL-1-B is a fit for shoppers who want a foldable paper lamp with adjustable height, touch dimming, and rechargeable power for flexible indoor placement. Its strongest appeal is the combination of lantern-style decor and portable ambient lighting, rather than a clearly specified solution for intensive task lighting. Choose it when that softer, adaptable role is what your space needs, and keep its paper shade away from moisture.
