KOOTETA 8" x 30" Stair Treads, 15-Pack, Navy Polyester, TPR Backing
Product description
Each 8" x 30" tread gives an individual indoor stair step a soft polyester surface and a navy striped finish. The 15-piece set is designed for wooden steps and other smooth indoor stair surfaces.
A peel-and-stick TPR backing holds each tread in place without requiring additional glue, tape, or carpet tacks. Clean the step, remove the backing film, position the tread, and press it down.
The rectangular pieces can be trimmed with scissors to suit corners or step shapes. That makes it easier to adapt the coverage to your staircase rather than relying on one continuous runner.

What it works with
These treads are intended for smooth indoor stairs, including wood, marble, tile, and glass. Their TPR adhesive backing is designed to adhere directly to the stair surface, so installation starts with a clean step: peel away the backing film, place the tread, and press it firmly into position. For a corner or an unusually shaped step, trim a tread with scissors before placing it.
Individual treads offer a different approach from a continuous stair runner: they cover the step surfaces piece by piece, making it possible to position or size each mat for the stair. In a home where children, older family members, or dogs use the stairs, the textured carpet surface and non-slip backing add a practical layer of grip underfoot. The polyester surface also provides a softer contact point than an uncovered hard step.
Tips for day-to-day use
Vacuum the treads to pick up dust, pet hair, and everyday debris. For a deeper clean, the product can be machine washed. After washing, let it dry in the shade, the care instructions advise against using a dryer or drying it in direct sun. Keeping the stair surface clean before installation supports proper contact with the adhesive backing.
Buyers often praise the straightforward application, appearance, and grip, and some say the treads stay put with frequent use. Those comments can help set expectations for everyday use, while each staircase and surface may differ. The navy striped design adds a defined look to the steps, and its individual format makes it possible to arrange the pieces without covering the staircase as one uninterrupted strip.
When it makes sense
Choose this set when you want separate carpet treads for indoor stairs and value a peel-and-stick format that does not call for extra installation adhesive or tacks. The 15 matching pieces provide a coordinated look across a staircase, while the 8" x 30" size and option to trim each mat help tailor placement to the steps. For a busy household, the combination of a soft polyester surface, TPR backing, and simple vacuum or machine-wash care makes these treads a practical way to add stair coverage and everyday comfort.
