KOOTETA 15-Pack 9" x 36" Non-Slip Polyester Carpet Stair Treads, Brown
Product description
Add a softer, more secure-feeling surface to indoor stairs with KOOTETA carpet stair treads. Each brown tread measures 9" x 36" and has a polyester surface with a TPR adhesive backing designed for smooth, hard stairs. The peel-and-stick format makes it a practical alternative to a fitted stair runner when you want individual, removable covers for the steps.
Use them on suitable wood, marble, tile, or glass stairs, including stairways shared with children or dogs. The cushioned carpet surface can also help soften the sound of footsteps as people move between floors.
Who it’s for
These treads suit homeowners looking to add carpet coverage to indoor hard-surface steps while keeping the look of individual stair mats. Their 9" x 36" size is intended for stair treads measuring 36 to 42 inches long and 9 to 15 inches wide. That sizing guidance helps you compare each step with the mat before installation.
They’re also useful for households that prefer a removable covering over a permanently fitted runner. The backing is designed to hold the tread in place while allowing it to be repositioned or removed without leaving residue, making it easier to adjust placement or take the mats up for cleaning. The manufacturer also says the treads can be cut to a different size or shape for a customized fit.

Benefits
The polyester surface provides a soft layer underfoot, while the adhesive backing is designed to help keep each tread in position on a smooth stair. Together, these features make the steps more comfortable to walk on and can help reduce the sound of footsteps. The individual-mat format also lets you cover the stair treads without laying one continuous runner across the staircase.
Everyday upkeep is straightforward: vacuum the surface to remove dust, pet hair, or loose debris. For a deeper clean, the treads can be machine washed, dry them in the shade after washing, and avoid using a dryer or placing them in direct sun. This gives households a practical cleaning routine while preserving the option to remove the mats when needed.
Buyers commonly praise the straightforward installation, appearance, grip, and everyday function. Some also appreciate how the brown color coordinates with brown rugs. These are customer impressions, while the product’s stated use is on smooth indoor stair surfaces.
Should you buy it?
Choose this set if you want individual, peel-and-stick carpet covers for indoor stairs rather than a single fitted runner. The 15 brown polyester treads combine a soft surface, a backing designed for smooth steps, and a removable, washable format. Match the stated tread dimensions to your stairs, and they offer a practical way to add carpet coverage to suitable hard-surface steps.
