MVRFN 8 x 14 ft Clear PVC Tarp, 14 Mil Waterproof with Grommets
Product description
Usage tips
If you need an outdoor cover that blocks rain and wind without closing off the view or natural light, this clear 8 x 14 ft PVC tarp is designed for that balance. Its 14 mil construction provides a substantial weather barrier for patios, porches, pergolas, garden structures, and chicken coops, while the transparent material keeps the enclosed area bright.
Use the metal grommets to attach the tarp to a suitable frame, patio structure, or garden support. Reinforcement pads around the grommets help distribute tension, and the included windproof ropes and tie-downs provide anchoring options. For areas exposed to extreme wind, add secure fastening appropriate to the structure.

Strengths
The clear PVC design makes this tarp useful when an opaque cover would make a space too dark or block the view. It can enclose a patio or porch while keeping the outdoor setting visible, and it lets natural light reach plants under a greenhouse cover. The same combination suits chicken coops and other sheltered outdoor areas where a clear barrier is useful.
At 14 mil thick, the vinyl is described as tear resistant and waterproof, making it suitable for shielding outdoor furniture, woodpiles, garden pools, and other items from rain, dust, and cold wind. UV protection is also listed, which is relevant for a cover used outdoors. Reinforced grommet areas and regularly spaced eyelets give you multiple points for attaching the tarp to a frame or structure.
Compared with an opaque tarp, this clear version prioritizes visibility and light while still serving as a weather shield. Buyers have praised its clarity, grommets, durability, and ability to block wind while allowing sunlight through. Feedback on size is mixed, so use the stated 8 x 14 ft dimensions when planning the area to cover and the fastening layout.
For a practical setup, attach the tarp along a patio or greenhouse frame, keeping tension distributed across the reinforced eyelets. If it arrives with fold creases, the manufacturer recommends unfolding it in warm sunshine or using warm air, a low-heat garment steamer is another suggested option. A damp cloth can be used for cleaning.
Should you buy it?
It’s a great fit if your project needs a clear, waterproof outdoor enclosure rather than a dark, opaque cover. The 14 mil PVC sheet, reinforced grommets, and included ropes and tie-downs support uses from patio weather protection to plant and coop shelter. Choose it for a space where maintaining visibility and natural light matters alongside protection from rain, dust, and cold wind.
