HP 307A compatible toner cartridge set

For owners of an HP Color LaserJet Professional CP5225, CP5225n, or CP5225dn, this four-cartridge set covers all four listed toner colors: black, cyan, magenta, and yellow. It’s aimed at replacing a full set rather than topping up just one color, which can be convenient when several cartridges need attention at once.

The product is sold as a replacement for HP 307A cartridges, not identified as an HP-branded set. That distinction matters if you’re specifically shopping for original manufacturer supplies.

Technical details

The package contains one black cartridge and one each of cyan, magenta, and yellow. The listed page yields are 7,000 pages for black and 7,300 pages for each color cartridge, based on Letter/A4 pages at 5% coverage. Those figures give a useful point of comparison, but they aren’t a promise of the same output for every job: pages with heavier coverage can use toner faster.

Compatibility is specified for the HP Color LaserJet Professional CP5225, CP5225n, and CP5225dn. The listing also says the cartridges use an upgraded chip intended to help the printer recognize them. Without having tried it, that should be treated as a stated feature rather than a guarantee for every printer or setup.

Getting the most from it

Before ordering, match the model name on your printer to one of the three listed models, and make sure you want a complete four-color replacement rather than a single cartridge. This is the more straightforward choice when you need black and color supplies together, someone replacing only one depleted color may prefer to shop for that cartridge alone and avoid buying a full set.

For a practical check, compare your usual print mix with the stated yield conditions. A run of text-heavy pages is different from printing color-heavy graphics, so the 5% coverage figure is best used as a reference, not a forecast for every household or office workload. Keep the color assignments in mind when unpacking the set, too, so each cartridge goes into the matching slot.

Usage tips

When a replacement is due, check the printer’s exact model before opening the package. Then identify which color needs replacing and whether the other three are likely to be useful soon. If you’re replenishing a shared printer, storing the unused cartridges together by color can make the next swap less confusing.

The four-pack format is useful for planned maintenance or for keeping a full set on hand. Its main tradeoff is the same feature that makes it convenient: you’re getting all four colors at once, even if only one cartridge is currently low. It makes sense if you want to refresh the printer’s full color set and its model matches the compatibility list. You may want to skip it if you need only one color or require an explicitly HP-branded cartridge.

Practical doubts

Which printers are listed as compatible? The HP Color LaserJet Professional CP5225, CP5225n, and CP5225dn.

What comes in the package? Four cartridges: one black, one cyan, one magenta, and one yellow.

How should I interpret the page yields? The listing gives 7,000 pages for black and 7,300 for each color at 5% coverage on Letter/A4 pages. Your actual output depends on what you print.

Is it worth it?

This set is worth considering when you need all four colors for one of the listed CP5225 printers and are comfortable choosing replacement cartridges rather than a specifically HP-branded set. The stated yields and bundled colors make it easier to plan a complete refill, while the model list gives a clear compatibility check. If your printer model isn’t listed, or you only need one cartridge, this package is a less direct fit.
