GEARit GI-CAT6-OUT-LDPE-BK-100F Cat 6 Ethernet Cable, 100 Ft Direct Burial

At 100 ft, this GEARit Cat 6 Ethernet cable gives you a long run for connecting network equipment across a yard or outdoor work area. Its LLDPE jacket is rated for direct burial and resists water and UV exposure. Choose it for a fixed outdoor connection, for a short indoor patch, a conventional cable may be a better fit.

Fit and sizing

The 100 ft length is suited to routing a wired connection between a building and an outdoor router, or to a backyard office where equipment needs a network link. Burying the run can keep it out of sight and away from foot traffic, while the weather-resistant jacket supports outdoor placement. This cable is also described for indoor use, so it can serve a network run that continues between indoor and outdoor spaces.

Before installation, plan the route and connection points so the cable reaches the devices without unnecessary slack. The cable has male RJ45 connectors at both ends, making it ready to connect to compatible Ethernet ports. For a temporary outdoor setup, its flexible PVC bubble boots protect the connector latches and make them easier to press when disconnecting.

What stands out

The FTP (foiled twisted pair) design uses shielded pairs, and the cable is made with 23 AWG oxygen-free pure copper conductors. Together, these features make it a practical choice for an outdoor wired link where shielding and a robust jacket matter. It supports Cat 6 networking, with a stated data rate of up to 10 Gbps and a bandwidth of 550 MHz.

Its use cases include connecting an outdoor router, a server, a VoIP phone, or a game console with an Ethernet port. That gives a wired alternative when you want to connect a device directly rather than rely on a wireless link. Buyers commonly highlight the cable’s sturdy, shielded construction and outdoor usefulness, comments about value are mixed, so its strongest appeal is the combination of a direct-burial design and a long, ready-to-use run.
