GEARit 100 Ft Cat 6 Outdoor Direct Burial Ethernet Cable, 23AWG Copper

For outdoor network runs that need a direct-burial cable, the GEARit Cat 6 Ethernet cable provides a 100-foot connection for routing between network equipment and an outdoor location. Its jacket is designed for underground use and resists water and UV exposure. Shielded, 23AWG oxygen-free copper conductors support a wired connection for outdoor networking, including links to an outdoor router or backyard office.

Everyday use

Use this cable to route a network connection between a building and outdoor equipment, or to connect a backyard office without leaving a cable stretched across a walkway. Its direct-burial-rated jacket is suited to underground routing, helping keep the cable out of sight and away from foot traffic. That makes it a practical approach when an exposed cable run would get in the way or be visually distracting.

The 100-foot length offers reach for a longer outdoor run, while RJ45 connectors at both ends connect to compatible Ethernet jacks. It is also suitable for indoor networking, so it can serve a run that begins inside and continues outdoors. For a temporary installation, the flexible PVC bubble boots protect the connector latch and are shaped for easier thumb access when unplugging the cable.

Benefits

The combination of a direct-burial-rated jacket and UV resistance is useful for outdoor network routes where the cable may be installed underground or exposed to sunlight. Shielded foil twisted pairs and copper conductors provide the cable construction for a wired Cat 6 connection, while the RJ45 ends make it ready to connect to compatible network ports. The cable is also listed for Power over Ethernet (PoE), supporting installations where compatible equipment uses a single cable for network data and power.

Buyers often call out the cable’s sturdy construction and outdoor usefulness, and some report that it works effectively for their network connections. Feedback on value is mixed, so the clearest reason to choose this cable is its specific fit for a longer outdoor or underground Ethernet run. Compared with routing a cable visibly along a path, burying a direct-burial-rated cable can keep the run less obtrusive and reduce trip hazards.

Buying verdict

Choose the GEARit cable when you need a 100-foot Cat 6 connection for outdoor networking and want a jacket designed for direct burial, water resistance, and UV exposure. The shielded copper construction, RJ45 connectors, and PoE support make it a useful fit for connecting an outdoor router, backyard office, or other compatible network equipment. Its main advantage is a practical, less exposed route for extending a wired network beyond the indoor space.
