EPOMAKER Aula F99 MAX Wireless Mechanical Keyboard with Smart Screen and Knob

Set up a desk for work, gaming, and everyday browsing with a keyboard that can switch between wireless and wired connections. The EPOMAKER Aula F99 MAX combines a 97-key layout with a number pad, a smart screen, and a rotary knob for convenient controls within reach.

Its rechargeable 8,000mAh battery and support for up to five devices make it easy to move between a computer, tablet, or phone. Choose 2.4GHz wireless, Bluetooth, or a wired USB connection to suit your setup.

Getting the most from it

The F99 MAX’s screen and knob add quick access to useful settings without relying on a separate control panel. The screen can show information such as the time or battery level, while the knob can be set to control volume or RGB lighting. Want to change a setting while staying focused on a game or task? These controls keep that adjustment close at hand.

For a personalized setup, the keyboard supports programmable keys, remapping, and macros through its custom software. The software runs on Windows PCs when the keyboard is connected in wired mode, so you can configure functions and lighting there. The RGB backlighting offers preset effects with adjustable brightness, speed, and color, making it simple to tailor the look of a desk for work or play.

Why it makes sense

The pre-lubed linear Reaper switches are designed for smooth, responsive keystrokes, and the hot-swap design lets you replace switches using the included puller. It supports 3-pin and 5-pin mechanical switches, giving enthusiasts a way to adjust the feel of their keyboard without replacing the whole unit. A gasket-mounted structure and multiple cushioning layers are part of the design, helping soften typing vibrations and shape the sound of each keystroke.

The 97-key layout keeps a number pad in the arrangement while leaving room for the screen and knob. That makes it useful for mixed routines such as entering figures, chatting, and then switching into a game. Compared with a simpler keyboard focused only on typing, the F99 MAX adds onboard display and control options alongside device switching and customization.

Key takeaways

The keyboard has a QWERTY layout, RGB backlighting, and a plastic case with a polycarbonate plate. It works with Windows and macOS computers, and its Bluetooth and 2.4GHz modes also support moving between compatible devices. The wireless receiver and detachable USB-A-to-USB-C cable provide options for connecting, while the rechargeable battery supports a wireless desk setup.

Buyers often highlight the sound, smooth typing feel, and substantial feel, as well as the lighting and appearance. Connectivity feedback is mixed: some describe reliable use, while others report keys stopping working after a few months. These are individual impressions rather than a measure of what every user will experience.

When it makes sense

It suits you if you want a mechanical keyboard that can handle both number entry and gaming, with wireless flexibility and customization built in. For example, use the number pad for spreadsheets, switch to a phone for a quick message, and return to a computer without treating each device as a separate desk setup. The screen, knob, hot-swappable switches, and three connection modes make the F99 MAX a practical fit for users who value accessible controls and a keyboard they can personalize over time.
