DUMOS Faux Fur Saucer Chair

If you want a seat that feels more like a soft place to curl up than a standard upright chair, this DUMOS saucer chair is built around a wide, plush seating area. Its faux-fur finish and folding frame make it suited to reading corners, dorm rooms, bedrooms, and other spaces where a cozy seat needs to be easy to put away.

It opens without tools or setup, then folds flat for storage when the room needs to do something else.

Best use cases

This chair makes the most sense for relaxed, casual sitting: reading with a book, watching TV, or taking a quiet break in a bedroom or living room. Picture unfolding it beside a lamp, settling into the deep seat, and folding it away again when you need the floor space back. That flexibility is useful in a dorm or small apartment where a full-time lounge chair may take up more room than you can spare.

The oversized saucer shape is intended to give you room to stretch out rather than sit upright at a desk or table. You’ll appreciate it if comfort and a soft, cozy feel matter more than a formal posture. If you need a chair for meals, work, or long periods of upright sitting, a conventional chair is likely a better match.

Product specs

The seat is covered in plush faux fur, and the chair has a reinforced steel frame with a square base. The stated weight capacity is no more than 300 lbs. It folds flat and requires no tools or setup to open, which keeps the basic routine simple: unfold it when you want a place to lounge, then store it under a bed, in a closet, or against a wall when it is not in use.

The product name describes it as XL and oversized, but no seat dimensions are provided here. That makes it harder to judge exactly how it will fit a particular corner or how much room it leaves around other furniture. If your space is especially tight, plan around the open chair’s footprint rather than assuming the folded form tells the whole story.

Where it shines

The appeal is the combination of a cushioned, deep seat and a frame that can be folded away. A fixed lounge chair may feel more like permanent furniture, this one is better suited to a room that needs to change roles, such as a dorm that is a study space by day and a place to relax later. Its mushroom-style saucer shape also gives it a more casual look than a standard dining or office chair.

The steel frame and square base are designed to provide support and balance, while the plush surface leans toward a soft, enveloping feel. From the way it is set up, this is a simple lounging seat rather than an adjustable chair with different positions or added features. Better avoided if you need detailed fit information before buying or want firm, upright support for a work setup.

When it makes sense

Choose it if you want a foldable accent seat for reading, TV, or downtime and have a place to store it between uses. Its strongest case is convenience: it can create a dedicated cozy spot without committing to a chair that stays out all the time. The stated 300-lb limit is also a concrete point to weigh against your needs.

Would a softer seat actually get used more often in your room? If the answer is yes, this chair’s wide, relaxed format may suit your routine. If you prefer a compact chair with listed dimensions, a more upright sitting position, or a seat intended for work, this is a less certain fit.
