NEO CHAIR NEC Mesh Office Chair with Flip-Up Arms and Lumbar Support

For a home office, study, or vanity where desk space is limited, the NEO CHAIR NEC combines a mesh back with flip-up arms and a rolling base. Its height adjustment and swivel movement make it suited to a computer setup where you want to reposition the chair without moving the desk.

The dark black mesh design is intended for indoor use. The chair measures 24.4 inches deep by 24.4 inches wide by 36 inches high, with a 17-inch seat height and a 19-inch seat depth.

Tips for day-to-day use

The flip-up arms are useful when you want to tuck the chair closer to a desk or clear space around a vanity. Lower them for a supported seated position, then raise them when you need a little more room to slide the chair in. The rolling base and 360-degree swivel support small adjustments while working at a computer, they are not a substitute for moving the chair when you need to change rooms.

Set the seat height to suit your desk before settling in, and use the tilt-tension adjustment to tailor the chair’s movement. The manufacturer lists spot cleaning for care, so this is a mesh chair to maintain with targeted cleaning rather than a stated machine-washable cover.

What you’ll notice day to day

The mesh back is designed to let air circulate, while the contoured shape and stated lumbar support provide support during seated tasks. The arms flip up rather than being described as removable, which gives the design a space-saving feature without requiring a separate chair for a compact work area. Its 24.4-inch width and depth give you useful dimensions to compare with the space under your desk.

Buyer feedback is mixed on support and adjustability. Some appreciate the height adjustment, arm movement, and back support, while others say the back does not lean as expected or that adjustments do not work as intended. Buyers also describe assembly as straightforward and the chair as suitable for smaller spaces, but there are reports of durability problems. These are individual impressions, not a guarantee of how a particular chair will perform.

What to know

The chair is listed for adult indoor use, with a 300-pound maximum weight recommendation. Its frame is polypropylene, the upholstery and back are mesh, and the listed item weight is 20.1 pounds. Height adjustment, tilt tension, swivel, and casters are included among its practical features, the available details do not describe an adjustable lumbar mechanism. If you want more specific backrest adjustments, compare the adjustment details with those of other chairs before choosing.

Compared with a basic fixed-arm chair, the flip-up arms and height adjustment offer more flexibility in a tight setup. The trade-off is that buyers seeking a highly configurable ergonomic chair may want to prioritize a model that clearly specifies additional back and lumbar adjustments. A solid pick if you need a compact indoor chair with mesh and arms that can fold up. It may not suit you if your decision depends on a strong record of long-term durability, since some buyers report breakage.

Questions before you buy

Can the chair fit under a desk? The arms flip up to help save space, and the chair is described as having a space-saving design. Actual fit depends on your desk’s clearance.

What is the seat height? The listed seat height is 17 inches. The chair also has height adjustment, though the exact adjustment range is not provided.

What care does the mesh need? The listed care instruction is spot clean. No machine-washing instructions are provided.

Final verdict

Choose the NEC if a mesh back, flip-up arms, swivel, and rolling base match the needs of a compact computer or study area. Its listed dimensions and seat height offer concrete points to compare against your workspace. Consider a more adjustable alternative if you need clearly specified backrest controls, and weigh the reported durability concerns if long-term use is your main priority.
