Dahivs PL4050 Heated Outdoor Cat House, Double-Wall PE, Escape Door
Product description
Size & fit
Outdoor cats need a sheltered place to rest, and the Dahivs PL4050 provides a defined space with built-in heat and weather-focused features. It measures 21.7 inches deep by 17 inches wide by 17.5 inches high, making it a compact shelter for a patio, porch, garage, barn, or other outdoor setting. The product is designed for feral, community, barn, and other outdoor cats.
Its roof and base are designed to stack into a multi-level setup, a useful way to make use of vertical space when housing more than one cat. Buyer feedback also describes the interior as spacious for two small to medium-sized cats.
Why it makes sense
Rather than pairing a basic outdoor shelter with a separate heating solution, this house combines a waterproof heating pad with double-layer polyethylene walls. An air cavity between the wall layers helps slow heat transfer, while the pad provides gentle warmth for a sheltered resting spot during cold weather. The raised base lifts the shelter off cold, wet ground, and the waterproof awning and transparent PVC door curtain help keep rain from entering.
An exit-only escape door gives cats a route out if they need to leave quickly, while its design helps limit cold air entering through that opening. Buyers commonly praise the straightforward assembly, sturdy feel, warmth, and useful space. Feedback on the escape-door details is mixed, with some buyers raising concerns about the flap.

Before you decide
Does this shelter have built-in heat? Yes. It comes with a waterproof heating pad described as UL-tested, and its double-layer PE walls have an air cavity to help slow heat transfer.
Can a cat leave through a second opening? The exit-only escape door is designed to let a cat get out while helping keep cold air from entering. The clear window lets a cat see outside from the shelter.
Where can it be placed? Suggested settings include a patio, backyard, porch, garden, balcony, garage, or barn. Its elevated base helps separate the shelter from cold or wet ground.
When it makes sense
The Dahivs PL4050 suits caregivers who want an outdoor cat shelter that brings insulation, a heating pad, and an escape route together in one structure. Its raised, weather-focused design is practical for a backyard or barn, while the stackable roof and base offer another way to arrange shelter space for multiple cats.
