AWoHH 0871PTW Cat Fountain Filters, 12 Filters and 12 Sponges

The filter measures 3.78 × 2.05 × 0.43 inches, and each included sponge measures 1.61 × 1.22 × 0.43 inches. These are replacement parts for Pet water fountains in the PLWF106, PLWF116, PLWF115, PLWF105, and PLWF005 series.

The kit pairs 12 filter pads with 12 pump-protecting sponges. The stated six-month supply is based on replacing filters every two to three weeks, so it gives you a set schedule for routine fountain maintenance.

Before installation, the instructions call for soaking each filter for five minutes and rinsing it for 30 seconds. That preparation matters if you want to use the carbon media as directed.

Getting the most from it

Use the filters only with one of the listed fountain models. The product is designed to sit in the fountain’s filter tray, while the sponge fits over the pump intake to catch hair. Changing both together makes this kit more complete than buying filter pads alone, particularly for a home where fur tends to collect around the pump.

The filter media is described as coconut-shell carbon and ion-exchange resin, with non-woven fabric. The listing says it is intended to reduce chlorine, heavy metals, and odors. Rinse the filter before use, the instructions also note that loose carbon dust may appear after shipping. A cleaning brush is included, though the listing does not specify its dimensions or a maintenance schedule for it.

You’ll appreciate it if your fountain matches one of the listed model numbers and you want replacement pads and pump sponges in the same pack. You may want to skip it if your fountain model is not listed, since compatibility beyond those models is not established here.

Strengths

Having a sponge for every filter makes it easier to replace the pump pre-filter at the same time as the main pad. The paired packaging is described as two filters per bag, for six bags total. That format keeps the replacements grouped, although you will need to open a bag to take out individual filters.

Buyer feedback is positive about perceived quality and value, and some buyers say the filters work with their Petlibro fountains and make the water seem cleaner. Those reports are impressions rather than a guarantee of compatibility for models outside the list above. The product information also does not give independent filtration test results, so the stated reduction of contaminants should be treated as the manufacturer’s claim.

Buying verdict

This AWoHH replacement kit makes sense when you need filters for a specifically listed fountain and want matching pump sponges included. It offers a straightforward alternative to replacing only the filter pad, with a brush and a stated six-month supply in one set. If your fountain is a different model, choose a replacement that explicitly names it rather than relying on the general fit claims.
