Ankink Ink Cartridges 280XXL/281XXL

If you want to restock a compatible Canon printer with both black and color ink, this five-cartridge set covers the basics in one purchase.

It’s aimed at routine documents and color graphics, rather than photo printing that depends on a dedicated Photo Blue cartridge.

If you prioritize replacing several ink colors together, the set is convenient, if you prefer to buy only the cartridge you’ve run out of, a full set may leave you with extras.

Where it shines

The pack includes one PGBK 280XXL cartridge and four 281XXL cartridges: black, cyan, magenta, and yellow. That mix suits a home office or family printer that switches between black text and color pages. For example, you could print a work form in black, then a color school handout without having to source each cartridge separately.

The listing names a range of compatible Canon models, including the TR8620a, TR8520, TR7520, TS6120, TS6220, TS6320, TS9120, and TS9520. Match your printer’s exact model number against the listed compatibility before ordering, sharing a printer series name alone isn’t enough to establish a fit.

One specific limitation: Photo Blue is not included. If your printing relies on that cartridge, this five-pack won’t complete a full replacement set.

Quick overview

Ankink says the cartridges use upgraded chips intended to support compatibility with the listed printers. The stated yields are 600 pages for the PGBK 280XXL, 6,360 pages for the black 281XXL, and 830 pages for each color 281XXL. That black-cartridge figure stands out next to the other listed yields, so it’s worth checking the package details before relying on it for a high-volume printing plan. The listing doesn’t provide test conditions, actual output can vary without that measurement.

The manufacturer also describes the ink as producing crisp text and graphics, but the supplied details don’t establish how results compare with original-brand cartridges. Worth considering if you want a compatible replacement set for everyday printing and are comfortable using the stated yields as estimates rather than a guarantee.

Best use cases

This set makes the most sense when a compatible printer needs multiple colors, or when you’d rather keep a spare cartridge in the drawer than place separate orders as each color runs low. It’s less suited to someone who needs only one replacement, wants Photo Blue included, or is choosing ink primarily for photo work.

Before buying, check the printer model and the cartridge numbers it takes. The product name identifies the 280XXL and 281XXL families, while the package contents specify one PGBK cartridge plus four 281XXL cartridges. It may not suit you if you need a different cartridge mix or want yield figures supported by stated testing conditions.

Buying verdict

Choose this Ankink set if your printer appears on the compatibility list and you need the included black-and-color combination for everyday documents and graphics. It offers a straightforward alternative to buying each compatible cartridge separately, but that convenience matters less if you’re replacing just one color. Skip it if Photo Blue is essential, or if you can’t confirm your exact printer model and cartridge requirements.
