Key features

The eXtremeRate PlayVital Wine Red silicone cover is a soft rubber protector for Xbox Series X and Series S controllers, model 1914. It combines a textured 3D studded surface with a snug fit to reduce slips during intense sessions and protect the shell from scratches, spills and everyday grime. The set includes one silicone skin and three pairs of black thumb grip caps in different styles, which add small but useful control improvements.

Technical details

• Name: eXtremeRate PlayVital Wine Red 3D Studded Edition
• Type: Silicone cover
• Compatibility: Xbox Series X controller model 1914, Xbox Series S controller
• Colour: Wine Red
• Included: 1 silicone skin and 3 pairs thumb grip caps

Usage tips

Slide the sleeve on gently, aligning cutouts with ports and buttons so everything works as expected. It is easy to remove for cleaning or to swap colours, and it does not block buttons when fitted. If you use a headphone adapter the sleeve will not fit, so remove the adapter before applying the cover.

You’ll like it if you want a low-cost way to keep a controller looking new while improving grip and comfort. It makes sense if you play for longer sessions and prefer a firmer hold, though keep in mind it adds a slight soft layer over the original plastic.

Care & maintenance

Wipe the silicone with a damp cloth and mild detergent for light stains, then air-dry before reinstalling. Avoid strong solvents and excessive heat to preserve texture and colour. Regular cleaning helps maintain grip and prevents grease build-up.
