Villeroy & Boch 14-8585-8815 Toy's Delight Anniversary Plate Set, 4-Piece Porcelain

If you want plain tableware for use throughout the year, a Christmas-themed set may not suit your needs. This one is designed for a more seasonal table, with four festive motifs from Villeroy & Boch’s Toy's Delight collection.

The set contains four multicoloured plates made from premium porcelain. It was created for the 15th anniversary of the collection and is intended for serving festive dishes.

The supplied size is 15 x 15 x 6 cm, but individual plate dimensions are not specified. That matters if you need to match plates to a particular cupboard, place setting or serving purpose.

Key features

The main appeal is the Christmas design: four different festive motifs give the set more visual variety than a plain, matching set. The nostalgic look is intended to evoke traditional Christmas gatherings, so it can add a seasonal touch to breakfast as well as dinner.

Villeroy & Boch describes the plates as suitable for everyday use and special occasions. In practice, they are most distinctive when used during the Christmas season, either for serving festive food or as part of a themed table setting. The anniversary edition also makes sense as a gift for someone who collects the Toy's Delight range.

Usage tips

Think about how you would use four plates before choosing this set. They could serve a small household for a shared Christmas breakfast, or provide a coordinated detail alongside other seasonal tableware. The listing refers to both breakfast and dinner plates, but does not specify separate shapes or sizes within the set, so do not assume it contains a mix of plate types.

The design is stated to fit with the Toy's Delight and Toy's Fantasy Christmas collections. If you already own pieces from either range, the set offers a way to extend a coordinated festive table without relying on plain everyday crockery. You’ll like it if you want recognisable Christmas motifs and a four-piece set rather than a neutral option.

Practical tips

Use the four motifs as a deliberate part of the table setting, or let them stand out against simpler pieces you already own. They are intended for festive dishes, but the stated versatility also allows for Christmas breakfast or other seasonal meals. The porcelain material and multicoloured finish are specified, no care instructions or information about dishwasher use is provided, so those details cannot be assumed.

Not the best choice if you need confirmed individual plate measurements before buying: only the supplied 15 x 15 x 6 cm size is given. A simpler, unpatterned set may be more practical if your priority is tableware that blends into different settings throughout the year.

Before you decide

How many plates are included? The anniversary set contains four plates, decorated with four festive motifs.

Which collections does it coordinate with? The product information names Villeroy & Boch's Toy's Delight and Toy's Fantasy Christmas collections as suitable matches.

Are the individual plate dimensions listed? No individual measurements are provided. The stated size is 15 x 15 x 6 cm, so check that this is enough information for your intended storage or place setting.

When it makes sense

Choose this set when Christmas design is part of the appeal, whether for festive breakfasts, serving seasonal dishes or adding to a Toy's Delight or Toy's Fantasy collection. It offers a more characterful alternative to plain plates, but the missing individual measurements and care details may matter if you need precise fit or handling information before deciding.
