Euqvunn Placemats and Coaster Set of 6, Reversible Grey PU, 12 Pieces

For households looking for reusable table protection for everyday meals or a gathering of four to six people, this Euqvunn set includes placemats and matching coasters. Would a wipe-clean surface suit your routine better than woven or fabric mats? The reversible dark and light grey sides offer a simple way to change the look without adding another set. The mats can also be rolled up for storage.

Highlights

The set contains six rectangular placemats, each measuring 43×30cm, and six coasters with a 10cm diameter. They are made from polyurethane and are 2mm thick, the stated heat resistance is up to 100°C. A textured surface is designed to help keep tableware in place, while the waterproof material is intended to make spills easier to deal with than on woven or fabric alternatives. That makes the set relevant for daily dining, as well as indoor or outdoor meals where a wipeable surface is useful.

Each piece has a dark grey side and a light grey side, so you can choose the finish that suits the table or occasion. Buyers’ comments also highlight the appearance, including the colours, and ease of cleaning. These are impressions rather than a measure of durability, but they point to the details people notice in regular use.

Cleaning & care

The care instructions specify hand washing. In practice, the product information says oil or sauce can be wiped away with a cloth, or rinsed under water, and that the mats dry quickly. For chilli oil or dark sauce, it advises wiping the surface promptly to reduce the chance of staining. This is a more straightforward routine than washing fabric mats, but it is not a machine-washable option according to the stated care instructions.

The manufacturer also advises avoiding prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and soaking. A slight odour may be present when new, the guidance is to leave the mats in a well-ventilated area for 3–5 days. That is worth factoring in if you plan to use them immediately after unpacking.

Getting the most from it

Use the placemats beneath plates and the coasters for drinks when setting a dining table, then turn the pieces over when the lighter or darker shade better suits the table. When they are not in use, the flexible PU can be rolled up for storage or to take along for a picnic. The stated 100°C heat resistance gives a useful reference for warm dishes, though it does not make the mats a substitute for checking what is suitable for a particular hot item or surface.

Compared with a basic fabric set, the appeal here is the wipeable surface and reversible colour choice, someone prioritising machine washing or a fabric feel may prefer a different type. It makes sense if you want a coordinated set of six placemats and six coasters that can be used indoors or outdoors. Not the best choice if your main requirement is machine washing, as hand washing is specified.

Final verdict

This is a practical set for routine meals, casual entertaining and outdoor dining, with useful matching coasters included rather than placemats alone. Its clearest buying points are the two grey finishes, rollable PU construction and stated heat resistance. The main care trade-off is that the pieces need hand washing, and new mats may need airing before use. Choose it for easy-to-wipe table coverage in a coordinated set, look elsewhere if machine-washable care is essential.
