VASAGLE CUSTOS LBC024T01 Bookcase, 8 Compartments, Rustic Brown

For anyone looking to organise books, files and display pieces in one floor-standing unit, the VASAGLE CUSTOS LBC024T01 offers eight open compartments in a rustic brown finish. Its simple shape is intended to sit comfortably in a study, living room or bedroom, without hiding the things you want to reach or show.

It is made from engineered wood, described as particleboard and MDF, and can also be positioned horizontally as a TV stand. The open layout is the key choice here: it suits accessible storage better than a cabinet with doors.

Quick overview

The bookcase measures 65.5 x 30 x 129.5 cm and has eight separate compartments for sorting books, files, plants or decorative items. Each compartment is listed to hold up to 15 kg, with a maximum overall load of 40 kg. Those limits are useful when planning where heavier books will go, they are not a reason to load every section to its maximum without considering the unit’s total limit.

The rustic brown painted finish and clean lines are designed to work with a range of interior styles. That gives it more flexibility than a strongly themed display unit, though the finish and open cubbies will remain visible features in the room. The side grooves help position the backboard, and clips are included to secure it. An anti-toppling device is also supplied, and the safety guidance says to attach the unit to the wall.

Everyday use

Open compartments make it straightforward to keep frequently used items in view. In a study, for example, files can sit apart from reference books, while a plant or a few display pieces can occupy another section. In a bedroom or living room, the same layout can hold a mixed collection without needing separate small storage boxes.

The unit is designed for floor mounting and can be assembled using labelled parts and illustrated instructions. Buyers commonly describe assembly as manageable and the instructions as clear, while feedback on sturdiness is mixed: some find it sturdy, and others consider it flimsy or unstable. That makes careful assembly and using the supplied wall attachment important parts of setting it up, rather than optional extras.

Best use cases

This layout makes sense when you want one piece of furniture to sort several kinds of belongings while keeping them accessible. It can work as a compact book display, a place for study files, or, when laid horizontally, a TV stand. Buyers also mention using the compartments for manga, which illustrates how the individual sections can help group a collection.

Compared with a basic single shelf, the eight cubbies give you more ways to separate items. Compared with enclosed storage, however, everything remains on show and can collect dust more readily. A solid pick if you value visible, divided storage and want a rustic brown finish that can blend with different décor styles. Buyer feedback also includes positive comments on its appearance and storage capacity, alongside differing views on how solid it feels.

Should you buy it?

Choose the LBC024T01 if its dimensions suit your space and you want a floor-standing unit with eight open sections rather than a closed cupboard. The per-compartment and overall load limits give a clear basis for arranging books and other belongings, and the horizontal placement offers another way to use the same unit.

Better avoided if you need concealed storage or want to leave the bookcase freestanding without securing it: the design is open, and the supplied safety guidance calls for wall attachment. For a planned spot in a study, bedroom or living room, the main decision is whether the visible cubby format suits what you intend to store.
