VASAGLE CUSTOS Collection Tree-Shaped Bookcase, 2 Shelves, Vintage Brown
Product description
A narrow corner beside a sofa, bed or desk can be put to use with the VASAGLE CUSTOS Collection bookcase. Its tree-shaped frame has two shelves for books, DVDs or magazines, while the vintage brown finish gives it a more distinctive look than a plain, straight-sided storage unit.
It is a floor-standing shelf measuring 20.3 x 38 x 123.2 cm. The stated maximum static load is 5 kg per shelf, so it is better suited to lighter everyday items than to heavy storage.
Strengths
The compact footprint is useful where a full-size bookcase would take up too much room. Its tree shape also makes it a decorative feature in its own right, which may suit a living room or bedroom where storage is on show. An office is another possible setting for keeping a small selection of reading material close to hand.
The package includes an anti-tip device, and the shelf should be secured to the wall with it. That is an important part of setting it up safely, particularly in a home where it could be knocked or pulled. Assembly instructions and an accessory pack are included, the product details say no additional tools are required.
Key features
The two-tier design offers a straightforward place for books, DVDs and magazines without the bulk of a larger bookcase. At 20.3 cm deep and 38 cm wide, it can be considered for a corner or narrow nook, though the available space still needs to accommodate its full height of 123.2 cm.
The frame is made from particle board with a veneer surface. Its smooth finish can be wiped with a damp cloth and dried afterwards. The vintage brown colour and modern, tree-shaped outline make this more of a visible accent shelf than a neutral, closed storage cabinet. It suits you if you want open storage for a modest collection and prefer a shaped design, a conventional bookcase may be more practical if you need broad shelves for larger items.
How to look after it
Use a damp cloth to clean the surface, then wipe it dry. The included covers can be used to conceal the screw holes for a tidier appearance. During assembly, follow the supplied instructions and fit the anti-tip device to the wall as directed. The per-shelf limit of 5 kg is a useful guide when deciding what to place on each level, heavier books or other dense items may call for a sturdier storage option.
Before you decide
What can the shelves hold? The product information names books, DVDs and magazines as suitable items. Each shelf has a stated maximum static load of 5 kg, so keep the weight distributed within that limit.
Does it need to be attached to a wall? An anti-tip device is included, and the manufacturer advises securing the shelf to the wall with it. It is a floor-mounted unit, but the safety fitting is part of the intended setup.
What are its dimensions? It measures 20.3 x 38 x 123.2 cm (D x W x H). Check that the space has room for the height as well as the narrow footprint.
Buying verdict
This shelf makes sense when you want a compact, open display for lighter reading material and want the storage itself to add shape to a room. Its two shelves and slim dimensions offer a different approach from a wider, more conventional bookcase, but the 5 kg limit per shelf defines what it can comfortably be used for. You may want to skip it if your main need is storing heavier items or keeping belongings out of sight.
