VASAGLE CUSTOS LBC183X01 Tree Bookshelf, 5 Tiers, Rustic Brown

If you need book storage for a small corner, this tree-shaped shelf uses a narrow footprint and vertical space. Its five stepped tiers can hold books on the lower shelves and small decorative items above. The Rustic Brown finish gives it a defined look rather than the plain shape of a standard bookcase. Each tier has a stated maximum static load of 10 kg, so it is intended for measured, lighter storage rather than heavy items.

Compatibility & requirements

This is a freestanding shelf that is also intended to be secured to a wall with the supplied anti-tip kit. The product instructions say to attach it to the wall, so allow for that step when choosing where it will sit. The information provided does not specify wall types or fixing compatibility, the suitability of the fixing will depend on the wall and installation. The parts are labelled and instructions are included, with assembly described as not requiring a drill or screwdriver. That claim relates to assembly, so do not assume it removes the need for suitable wall fixing.

Practical tips

At 30 cm wide and 17.2 cm deep, the unit is suited to a nook beside a desk, in a bedroom or in a living room where a broader bookcase would take up more floor space. For example, it could keep a small group of frequently used books within reach while leaving the upper tiers for lighter ornaments or a small plant. Distribute the load with the stated 10 kg limit per tier in mind, and do not climb on or play with the shelf.

The veneer is described as water- and scratch-resistant and can be wiped with a damp cloth, which may be useful for everyday dust and light marks. It is still a compact piece: its dimensions give less room for large books or a growing collection than a full-size bookcase. If you need substantial storage, a wider unit is the more practical approach, this one prioritises a small footprint and a distinctive stepped design.

Buyers commonly praise its appearance and straightforward assembly, mentioning the clear instructions. Some also describe it as sturdy and say it holds a useful amount of books. Those impressions may help set expectations, but the stated load limit remains the relevant guide when deciding what to store on each tier.

Before you decide

Does it have to be fixed to a wall? The supplied anti-tip kit is included for wall anchoring, and the product guidance says to attach the shelf to the wall.

How much weight can each tier hold? The stated maximum static load is 10 kg per tier. Keep that limit in mind when arranging books and ornaments.

What comes with the shelf? The package includes the bookshelf, an anti-tip kit, an assembly kit and instructions. The parts are labelled to help with assembly.

Should you buy it?

You’ll like it if you want a compact, decorative place for a modest selection of books and small items, and are happy to secure it to a wall. You may want to skip it if you need broad shelves or storage for heavier loads. Within these limits, its main appeal is making a small corner useful without the footprint of a conventional bookcase.
